Plane crash in Congo kills 30

Summary: A plane crashed in a poor, crowded suburb of Kinshasa, Congo, right after takeoff and all 22 on board the plane, 16 passengers and six crew, were killed, as well as up to eight people on the ground. Some witnesses made statement that the plane clipped several treetops and hit the roofs of three houses, crashing onto its back with its tires in the air and there was a huge explosion.

Opinion: Well, the airplanes should be checked perfectly before their take off. However, the cheaper companies would not check planes perfectly because of the huge labor costs, so the ticket is cheap but the planes are not safe. Government should come up with some kind of regulation on the airplanes in the airport and the companies not meeting the standards or the regulation should be kicked off so that there would not be plane crashes.

Korean leaders sign declaration

Summary: North Korean leader Kim Jong Il and South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun met in Pyeoung-yang and signed a joint statement, pledging to begin work on a permanent peace agreement that would replace the cease-fire accord signed at the end of the Korean War. South Korean President crossed, he walked, the military demarcation line.

Opinion: Another tax-waisting-drama of South Korean president. It would be much better for Korea to be united but that would not happen because of crazy North and even when North and South Korea gets united, South would have to pay eveything for North so Korean economy might collapse. However, presidents of South Korea tries to do something with North during their terms of office so that they would look better. They have to realize that supporting North Korea for anything means waisting of money and giving them money to buy weapons to attack South because they have crazy leader, well I think it applies to both North and South though.

N. Korea to disable nuclear complex

Summary: Pyongyang had agreed to disable its nuclear facilities at Yongbyon, where plutonium is produced, by the end of this year in a deal forged by the so-called six-party talks in Beiging. A U.S. team, including technical experts, will head to North Korea next week after the communist country agreed to begin disabling its nuclear weapons facilities. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill said disable means to make it difficult to restart a nuclear program by sealing the facility and removing certain components that would not be easy to replace.

Opinion: America is so focused on the other countries having nuclear weapons. US has the most amount of nuclear weapons and worried about other countries having them. I am not saying US is doing the wrong thing. The world does need a police nation. If America wants to be that police, I think they should just erase off the evil countries even by force or anything not just telling them to stop.

Mistake costs dishwasher $59,000

Summary: For 11 years, Pedro Zapeta, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, lived his version of the American dream in Stuart, Florida, washing dishes and living frugally to bring money back to his home country. Two years ago, Zapeta was ready to return to Guatemala, so he carried a duffel bag filled with $59,000 to the airport, all cash. Of course he did not know about nobody can carry more than 10000 cash and he was also illegal immigrant so he got his money taken away and arrested. He soon released and went to court to get his money back and it has been 2 years now. The judge gave the dishwasher until the end of January to leave the country on his own. He's unlikely to see a penny of his money.

Opinion: Sorry for the guy but he refused the US gorvenment's proposal of giving $19000 back and leaving the country. He is illegal immigrant. Illegal immigrants are prohibited from working. He might say that there are a lot of working illegal immigrants but he is the unlucky case. He did not pay any taxes and even when the government gave him the 19000 deal, he refused because he did not want to pay tax for his $59000 and wants all his money back. He caused this result and its his fault that he did not know about the law that illegal immigrants cannot work and about carrying more than $10000 cash. Sorry for this guy but he has to leave without his money and this case would be a good model or example for the people planning to be illegal immigrants.
