Chris (yawn) this is why, this is why, this is why i'm distraught... zzzzzzzzzzzz

Summary - According to a cbsnews.com article, a man in Memphis, Tennessee wasn't having a good day after he'd gone through a series of bizarre events. These strange events began when the man banged on the door of a house close to where he had just crashed his car into a pole. After banging on the door, the man then kicked a window in. The occupant of the house Leroy Bruce had a gun and shot the intruder. Next, the shot and bleeding man ran off, leaving his pants and other clothing behind. He ran to a McDonald's close by and threw a rock through one of their windows. This is where police said they found him, only in his underwear. He's been taken to the Regional Medical Center and will be charged once he's released.

Opinion - The title of the source for this was called "And You Thought You Had A Bad Day... " and I can now see why. This guy is CRAZY, with a capital K. This man had to have been on something because I am pretty sure no one would do something like this just for fun. Even in the article, they interviewed a witness and she said that the man "had to be on some high-powered something." Anyhow, I hope he's alright and will get better. I guess since he might have been on drugs then he didn't have full control of himself, but it was his choice to take the drugs so this was ultimately his fault.

Summary - A man in Concord, New Hampshire was arrested after saving an elderly couple from a fire, stated an article from cbsnews.com. The man Steven Rivers early Monday morning saw flames coming from a house across the street from him. He ran into the burning building twice to save the elderly couple living inside it. After doing this, Rivers passed out. He later thought this might have happened because of the smoke, the adrenaline rush, and possibly from some of his medical conditions. Whatever the case, rescue workers came to help but when Steven woke up he lashed out against a firefighter, allegedly hitting him. Steven was then charged with assault and resisting arrest. Rivers defended himself later saying he was disoriented and wasn't treated fairly. Fire officials say Steven acted bravely by going into that fire and saving the couple. They call the incident unfortunate.

Opinion - I think the police should give Steven Rivers some slack. What he said about being disoriented I believe to be true. How could someone not be disoriented after doing something like this? Besides he did this good deed and probably wasn't expecting anything in return. Rivers just wanted to save some lives. This shows that he is a good guy and the assault he was charged with was simply an accident. The police should just give Steven a warning or something equal to that.

Summary - An article from cbsnews.com says that on Wednesday Australian party leader Kevin Rudd lamented his past behavior. What behavior Rudd was lamenting was him eating his own ear wax six years. The embarassing moment was captured by Parliament's official television camera while Rudd was in Parliament as a junior Labor Party lawmaker. This same footage has since then been circulated by the internet on such video sites as You Tube and has gained some popularity in recent weeks. Kevin Rudd, who's likely to become Australia's newest Prime Minister, told reporters that "All of us in public and private life I'm sure would wish our behavior to be more ideal," as he declined to comment further.

Opinion - Well this is quite hilarious as well as gross. I'm sure Kevin Rudd wouldn't say the same though. It's always funny as long as you're not the one in the awkward situation, I guess. What's funny is some of the lies that are told after going through an awkward situation like this one and how obviously wrong they are. In this instance Rudd actually told reporters that he was just scratching his chin. This was of course not true as there is video of him doing the act. Despite these things I feel bad for him. Situations like these always suck from the point of view of the person who did it.

Summary - A cbsnews.com article says that a German student sold a painting worth $27,630 which she initially obtained for free. How this happened was the student bought a pullout couch at a Berlin flea market for $215. When she took the couch home and unfolded it, she found a small painting inside. The 10- by 15-inch oil painting sold entitled "Preparation to Escape to Egypt," was painted by an unknown artist. What is known though is that the painter worked closely between 1605 and 1620 with the Venetian painter Carlo Saraceni, said the Hamburg art auction house Monday night.

Opinion - I hate when things like this happen to people. Though I know I shouldn't hate it, I just can't help but get so jealous inside. I would love so much for this to happen to me! That's why I sometimes get worked up while watching Antiques Roadshow. :/ It can't be helped, but I am still happy for whoever these lucky situations happen to. Some people get lucky and some just luck out. Actually few people get lucky and most people luck out. That's just how the world, though depressing as it is... -_-
