Voters head to the polls from coast to coast on Super Tuesday
Tuesday's results are more likely to be decisive in the contest among the nominees. McCain, Romney and Huckabee than the Democratic contest due to how the GOP allocates delegates. Unlike Democrats, who usually split delegates by a proportion of the popular vote, the GOP will allocate delegates in most primary states on a winner-take-all basis either by congressional district or by statewide vote. That means that big-state wins by McCain, who leads national GOP polls. Last-minute polls also say that Romney has gained more votes than McCain in California, which means that Romney is likely to split races with Huckabee in the South. On the Democratic side, Obama and Clinton are also likely to split the delegates more evenly. The CNN's consultant on campaign ad spending, estimates that Clinton and Obama had spent about $18 million together in Super Tuesday states by the end of January. Obama even bought time for a television spot during the Super Bowl. HOwever, Republicans have spent only $2 million before the first week of February.
Opinion
Wow well we are now getting closer to see who win the election and to see who our next president would be. This is exciting especially now since we're not quite sure who will win because many people say that Obama is going to win others say Huckabee and others say Hillary. Well nobody really knows. I honestly can't believe the amount of money that these candidates have spent on these campaigns especially Obama and Hillary. They have spent 16 million more than the republicans this means that they'll do anything in order to win the campaign.
