Murphy James (1)

National.
Summary:
Who doesn't love the occasional peanut butter, honey and bananna sandwich? Well, considering that last fall and winter, a mass loss of honey bee colonies died, this may become difficult two hundred years from now. But wait! Science is getting close to discovering the reason the United States honeybees are dying! The scientists believe that is is a virus, commonly known as the Israeli Acute Paralysis Virus. They have been conducting months of research, and while the scientists think that the virus is a major playing factor, they do not believe that it is the final answer. There has to be much more to the story than the virus, like drought and poor nutrition.
Opinion:
If I were a honey bee, I would really want the scientists to figure out why my kind is dying. HOWEVER, since I am not a bee, nor do I like honey, the importance of this does not quite fascinate me in the same way. I still enjoyed the article, though. I like writing about bugs. And bees, while not being agressive warriors with their stingers, seem to be gentil creatures.
