Baby Born in Bathroom Dies in Flush Attempt:

A 14-year-old girl in a Texas middle school gave birth in a bathroom, and then tried to flush her baby. The mother of the baby told a counselor she had tried to flush the baby in the bathroom after she had given birth. The baby did not survive.

Opinion:
This is horrible. If you do not want to have a child, there are other options--like birth control or condoms, something, anything but killing your baby after it is born. If the girl did not have these options at the time the baby was conceived ( if she had been raped) then she still could have used the morning after pill. This baby could have been taken to a drop off place at a hospital or something. How can this girl live with herself after what she has done? Fourteen years old is old enough to be responsible for this sort of crime, and she should be charged and prosecuted.
