Mechele Linehan, 35, who until her arrest had been living a quiet life as the wife of an Olympia, Wash., doctor, was convicted in October of first-degree murder in the 1996 shooting death of Kent Leppink.Prosecutor Pat Gullufsen said Linehan plotted with another man who hoped to marry her, John Carlin III, to lure Leppink to a rural trail, where Carlin shot him with a .44-caliber handgun.The motive was a $1 million insurance policy that Linehan mistakenly believed named her as the beneficiary, prosecutors said.
Opinion:
Atleast there is some sort of justice in this world. This women is getting 99 years for murdering her husband. I am pretty sure I know someone who murdered two people and got away with it because he had money and I know another man who is a politician and got away with murdering someone.. hmm well atleast someone gets what they deserve.

Thomas Beatie, a former woman who is now a pregnant man, defended his decision today to have a baby, saying he has a "right to have a biological child." Despite removing his breasts, growing a wispy beard and legally having his gender changed from female to male, Beatie, 34, kept his female sex organs intact because he hoped to have a child some day. After years of struggling with his sexual identity and deciding to live as a man, he did the most womanly thing possible -- he became pregnant.
Opinion:
Oh brother! There is no such thing as a pregnant man! If you read you will see that this "man" used to be a woman. I dont care if you grow a beard, have your boobs cut off and talk like a girl... YOU ARE STILL A MAN! This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I guess "he" was on Oprah but I wouldnt of known that because my family does not support her show or what she does..but thats another story.
