International: Maria Sharapova dominates at the US Open

Summary:Maria Sharapova brought her A-game to the US Open. In a match against Australian Casey Dallacqua, Sharapova won with a match score of 6-1 and 6-0. This entire match was played in under an hour. After the match Sharapova said, "I thought I did a pretty good job of being solid." She also said, "It's only going to get tougher from here." The tennis pro is making a great start to the US Open.

Opinion: Although Sharapova isn't one of my personal favorite players, she did however have a great match against Dallacqua. She is a true threat to all of the other women in the tournament. Her focus and drive will probably help her in her journey to the top.

Yeah, then she turned around and lost in the next round. So much for her A-game.
