Oklahoma Cops Try to ID Boy Abandoned at Wal-Mart by Fleeing Shoplifter
Cops are trying to identify a boy that was abandoned inside a store by a suspected shoplifter, who fled from the store when he was confronted by the store security. The young boy is about 2-3 years old, the boy is not able to identify himself, and no one has reported him missing. The boy was put under custody of the department of Human Services. Sgt. Gary Knight stated that a
man was pushing a shopping cart with the boy in it when the man was spotted shoplifting, he fled the store, leaving the boy behind inside the shopping cart.
Opinion
My opinion on this is that this is a sad story because the kid was left behind by somebody who was caught shoplifting. The other sad thing is that no one can identify his identity and no one has reported him missing so maybe no one even knows that this kid exists. I think that cops should still search for this kids identity and search for his parents. I can't believe that somebody would actually leave a child behind when they are caught doing something wrong.
