West Virgina University Tops 2007 List of Party Schools

Summary

West Virgina University is the #1 school for parties, and other not so honorable titles. The University tries to focus on the positive not the negative, yet the Princeton Review seems to put a huge emphasis on the topics. Students try to defend the Schools morals, by accounting for time well spent and diversity.

Opinion

So... doesn't almost every school have parties? Every where I have seen on college campuses their is an advertisement for beer or frat parties. This is just part of the college experience. It is the student's personal choice to participate in such events. As for the part that Princeton Review Publishing such facts in a lage publication, I think its rude. I see the need for facts and information about schools, but categories such as, " Birkenstock-wearing, Tree Hugging, Clove Smoking Vegetarians" just seems to be unnecessary.

Protesters mass for Heathrow demo

Summary

Over 1,000 climate change activates gather at the Heathrow Airport( west of London), to display a peaceful protest. They are protesting the plans to expand the airport. For the most part the protest has stayed calm, but some people have made inappropriate moves that resulted in an arrest.

Opinion

I am all for standing up for what you believe in, but I also believe in self control. It seems to me that most people in this well organized group have similar thoughts. Its the few people, like the guy with the glue gun that seem to ruin it for all of us. Its like the kid that is always late for class, and by doing so punishes all of us.

Well now, problem child for our blog--just kidding.

I would hate to be a professor at this university.
