Murphy James (2)

National:
Summary:
Spiders are an essential part of the ecosystem. However, a vast web containing millions of little spiders has sprung up in Texas in a park in as little as a few months. The park's groundskeeper discovered the web just a few days ago. He was taking advantage of the dry weather to mow along a trail, and ran into an enormous spider web. At some spots, the web can block out the sun. Total, the stranger - than - life web covers a span of several acres!
Oppinion:
I hate spiders. They are disgusting. Now, they've already taken over quite a bit of land before anyone noticed... will they take over the world?! Most likely not.But most spiders being anti social in north america, this is quite an odd thing to find. CREEPY!

International:
Summary:
Africa is not the most sanitary place in the world. Four villages are now infected with what health officials fear is hemorrhagic fever. Every one who attended the funerals of the two deceased village chiefs died. 217 people have been infected, and from that 103 people have died. In history, Congo has often had cases of Ebola and Marburg, diseases in which a person bleeds from their eyes, ears and other body parts. The last case of Ebola was in 1995 in the city of Kikwit. The disease killed 245 people.
Opinion:
This is very tragic. In a sense, this is like the black plague was for Europe. It's highly contageous, and for Africa there is no cure. What can we do to stop such disease? How can we bring sanitation to third world countries, who haven't even been taught yet how to act civily to one another, or settle disputes without a genocide? If my generation could do one major thing to impact the world, I would want them to answer those questions by putting the answers into effect, not only in Africa but in third world countries across the world.

I hate spiders also and usually kill them at the first opportunity.

Problem with Africa are the unsanitary and famine conditions which leads to the easy spread of diseases.
