Michael Vick has chosen to plead guilty to all crimes. This puts Vick in prison for at least 18 months. Vick chose to plead guilty because his three counterparts have already decided to plead guilty. The maximum sentence is 5 years but since he is a first time offender he will probably get only the recommended 18 which is still high for a first time offender

Opinion

Vick is getting it a lot harder than any old Joe would. Because of his superstar status they are using him to set an example. If you or I set up these fight we would get off with less. This is also only the beginning of Vicks punishment. These charges are only the federal charges, Vick still has to now retry in front of the state. Since he pleaded guilty to federal it obligates him to plead guilty to state. The state wants to try and get Vick 5 yrs. for each of the 8 dogs he himself hung in the back of his house. All I can say is good luck Joey Harrington.

Bush says that in order for the occupation in Iraq to be successful both the Iraqi government and the Iraqi people need to come to a compromise. If the Iraqi people don’t like the government they will rebel and find a new on a senator from Michigan thinks that the US should get rid of current Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Right now both the US government and the Iraqi government are stuck between I rock and a hard place.

Opinion

I feel that Iraqi occupation is no longer working but we have been in Iraq so long it is pointless to stop now. I believe in starting what you finish and I also believe that we are pretty darn close to finishing. Looking at the dilemma in hindsight I feel that it was not the right decision to make in the first place, especially not a semi-invasion such as the one we are currently.
