Summary:
In Berlin, Germany, three terrorists were arrested Tuesday, September 4. The three men had been planning on setting off bombs in cars connected with U.S. military. The German police have been keeping an eye on these men for more than six months because they noticed them watching the U.S. bases activities. The men had been storing 1,500 pounds of hydrogen peroxide, which is very explosive when put with a detonator. The terrorists were in the process of getting these detonators when arrested.
Opinion:
The world scares me at times like these. How can people be so consumed with death and killing when the world could be a much better place if everyone got along? But I know, everyone has an evil nature and it is only Jesus Christ that saves us from total destruction. It is only by God’s grace and mercy that we have not died already in this world. I’m glad that the three men were found out before the attack. This attack would have been very devastating to German and the United States. We would have lost many good men and women in this horrible strike at lives.

Summary:
A twelve-year-old boy, Pat Pedraja started a program across the United States to help those who need donors for bone marrow. Pedraja is a cancer victim but is in remission. He does not need a marrow transplant but he wanted to help those who did. The ambitious boy started by advertising businesses on his bare head or the van to raise money for the program. Once funded, he and his mom started out and reached thirty states and received many people willing to test for possible donors. He believes the 6 million donors of the United States will grow because of his program.
Opinion:
Pat is an amazing boy! I do not know if I could have done the same thing. It’s wonderful that someone who is dealing with a life and death situation would be willing to start a program basically on his own. So many people are consumed with their sicknesses that they do not see the great opportunity they are given in their situations. They can be a positive influence over the world or nation and encourage other people dealing with illnesses to help as well. We need more people in this world like Pat.
