International: Crash Landing

Summary: A London Airplane crashed at London airport after missing the runway then a few hundred feet. Luckily no fatalities happened with in the crew of 16 and 136 passengers. One passenger said that he didn’t know what had happened until the escape shoots opened. He thought that it was just a rough landing. Other passengers said that the plane belly flopped then skid until it came to a stop. The left wing and undercarriage of the plane was damaged. This 777 aircraft has had one of the safest flying records of any type of airplane. Many were shocked and could not believe that it had failed at a landing. The London Heathrow airport (one of the world’s most popular airports) was shut down for a couple of hours. No planes could land or take off during that period of time.

Opinion: I am so happy and thankful that no one was seriously injured or killed during this crash. I do not find I hard to believe that this type of plain had a terrible landing. A plane is very safe but just like anything, accidents can happen. I hope no one is to blame for this crash being caused and I hope that it was just a malfunction. God must have had many guardian angels guarding that flight. Looking at the damages of the plane the passengers and crew are so very lucky that they did not get hurt.

International: Death gives life

Summary: A seven-year-old girl named Jade died in September 2006. After her death her parents went to the doctors and decided they wanted to donate their daughter organs in the hop to save other lives. By January 2008 Jade’s organs have saved up to four lives. She has saved a 10-month-old girl, 17-month-old boy, and two adults have been given a second chance at life. Jade was an older sister and a very generous young girl. So by donating her organs her parents believed that would be what Jade wnated. The government hopes that many other organs will become available to help save more lives.

Opinion: It is so sad that this little girl had such a short life. It is a great miracle that this young girl could help so many with her death. Her parents did the right thing and they are very brave and generous people. My prayer now is that more organs will become available and that more lives will be saved. It is very strange how God works in mysterious ways and this story proves just that.
