Summary- Former Dem Nominee Kerry endorses Obama

Former Presidential nominee John Kerry has endorsed Barack Obama. He announced his endorsement just a couple weeks before the South Carolina Primary, in South Carolina, in hopes that his endorsement will not be wasted as Al Gore's was on Howard Dean in 2004. Kerry used to be close to Hillary Clinton and was the former running mate of John Edwards, but spurned them both to endorse Obama. Kerry did not run himself this year because of the "get stuck in Iraq" comment in 2006.

Opinion

I guess this will give a little bit of a boost to Obama's campaign. I am warming up to Obama recently, but I don't know why. He seems to be a decent enough guy, and I think the fact that he is young helps him. However he could involve himself in a bit of scandal if he talks too much about John Kerry, espcifically the remark that he was proud of Kerry's war record. That could get him in trouble and perhaps lure away prospective Republicans who may consider voting for him. All in all i agree with what the Republicans said: Kerry and Obama are "liberal soul mates." Too true, too true...

Summary- McCain, Huckabee look to keep momentum

John McCain and Mike Huckabee are trying to keep their momentum moving as they go into the Michigan primaries, which are vital. Both have won a state and both are front runners. They look to keep Romney from getting back into the race by winning Michigan. All the Republican candidates are participating in a debate tonight in South Carolina at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, where on the beach a gigantic sand sculpture has been made in the form of Mount Rushmore with each of the candidates faces on the sculputre.

Opinion-

My candidate-personality quiz thingy came out for Mike Huckabee, and he is seeming to be gaining a head of steam here. I had never heard of him when I took the quiz last month but now it appears as if he is a possible candidate for the nomination. But... I hate to write Fred Thompson off. He is a good candidate and would be a good leader. However... I do not like John McCain... He is a fake conservative. He rides under the Republican banner yet holds many views contrary to the very nature of the party. Even if he gets the nomination, I doubt he will get my vote.

Not sure.

Mine too, but I'm not voting for him.
