Dean Weakwens to Tropical Storm After Drenching Mexico
A Hurricane Dean slammed into Mexico for the second time and stretched across to the Pacific Ocean on wednesday. The hurricane was 160 kph, Dean hit the fishing town of Tecolutla after all the people were evacuated. Around 3pm, Dean was located 65 kilometers of west of Poza Rica and was moving west at 28 kph. Mexico suspended their offshore oil production and shut doem its only nuclear power plant as tens of thousands headed for higher ground. The state oil company stated that there was no damage in any of their productions facilities. Officials say that there was no deaths reports that were cause by Dean in Mexico. But the biggest worry was rain, it went up to 51 centimeters. The storm covered the entire towns in waist-deep sea water.
My opinion in this is that it is good that the people in Mexico prepared themselves for this storm. Another good thing is that the Dean storm didn't cause any death it onyl flooded small towns of Mexico. They are also lucky that the storm didn't destroy their offshore oil production. These people did a good job in preparing themselves for the storm and getting everyone evacuated, this helped save many people's lives.
