Summary-- There is going to be an industry-wide mining strike next week in South Africa. Miners form the countrys gold, platinum, and coal mines, 60 in all are striking. They are striking for better saftey standards. Golbally, the union is organizing protests around South African Embassies.
Opinion-- I think that this is going to die out pretty quickly. There are mine strikes all the time. But this one isnt just one mine or one kind of mine. Its nearly all of South Africas mines. This could put a sserious hurt on their econmy but i dint think we'll be affected too badly here. Comon South Africa, saftey standards?
