Ben Thieroff 1/2 credit, make up

INTERNATIONAL #1
Summary-- There was a large Russian oil tanker that broke in two on its way to the Black Sea this weekend. It was carrying 1.3 million gallons of fuel of which 550,000 gallons has leaked out. This is one of the worst environmental disasters in this region in years, authorities said. This tanker was originally made in Soviet times and it was designed to carry oil on the Russian rivers. It was not made to handle open ocean weather like it has been subjected to.
Opinion-- Wow, I swear, the Russians can never make anything that withstands time. Their equipment is made cheaply and in mass. But besides the Soviet shortcomings this is not a good thing that’s going on. 550,000 gallons is a whole lot of fuel. But at least its not crude. This storm has hurt many other ships in the region also. A bad day to be a seaman.
INTERNATIONAL #2
Summary-- An Ethiopian soldier was dragged through the streets of Mogadishu today. The man was killed in a gunfight with Islamic insurgents. This was terribly similar to the scene in October 1993 when US serviceman’s bodies were drug through the very same streets. 19 people were killed in the gun battle, 9of them reported to be Ethiopian’s.
Opinion-- Wow. Cant we just go over there and kill every one of these murdering, mutilating idiots. Why do they have to do idiotic things like dragging a dead man’s body through the streets chanting “God is great” These are the kind of people that don’t deserve to take another breath on this earth.

Very sad. Very shortsighted.

Ethiopians need to stand up for their rights, but its difficult when these militia men terrorize everyone.
