Summary - In a cbsnews.com article, a boy walked from the Tampa area of Florida to Tallahassee. The ten-year-old boy walked a total of two hundred twenty miles in order to gain attention for the plight of homeless children. The boy named Zach Bonner lives with his family in Valrico. The final mile ended on Monday morning November twenty-fifth and the entire walk began November third. The boy walked the entire way with his older sister along with a group of volunteers. Zach has been doing charitable work all of his life. What first pushed him to plan and do this walk was when Congress declared November as National Homeless Youth Awareness Month. The walk did in fact raise awareness for the homeless youth. It also raised about twenty-five thousand dollars in donations for those children.

Opinion - Well, Zach seems like a really nice kid. He sure is caring and probably very sympathetic for those homeless children. I guess I am too and I believe many other people are as well. What many of those people lack though, and I guess I do somewhat too, is that drive to do something about the problem. Thanks to this kid though, many of those people who might have only cared and not done anything about it, now might be more active with the situation. Many people can learn from Zach that it also takes that drive to make a difference with how things are. I've taken this to heart and I think others should too.

Summary - An article from cbsnews.com writes about Oregon's Klamath County where the state trooper arrested a Montana man. The reason behind the arrest was that what the man had wrapped up as a Christmas gift in his car was actually marijuana. About ten miles south of Klamath Falls, after a traffic stop Monday night on U.S. ninety-seven, along with about three pounds of pot were also found four firearms. The man Jimmie Cumbee was stopped by the state trooper after Jimmie had been going seventy-five in a fifty-five mile an hour speed zone. The man's seventeen-year-old son was with him and was also arrested. Jimmie Cumbee is accused of unlawful manufacture, delivery and possession of a controlled substance, and carrying a concealed weapon, which was loaded and concealed in a box next to the driver's seat.

Opinion - Hey, it's my Christmas too Jimmie. Err.. um, anywho. He isn't a really smart guy, speeding while he has marijuana and guns in the back seat. Not too subtle, I'd have to say. A marijuana pipe was also found, so I guess that if he were high then he's somewhat excused for the "being so obvious" thing. Now he's just an idiot for driving while toasted. That's DWT, for any kids out there who wanted to know. :P So.. where was I.. It's really too bad his son was arrested. I hope it was properly evaluated whether he was helping his dad out by choice or was actually made to help him. Jimmie could just be a crappy father and the son just obeying him because he has to.

Summary - A burglar was arrested in Bosnia Thursday, says a cbsnews.com article. The owner of the house found the burglar asleep on the couch, said police. The burglar, identified only as Edin M., was able to get a-hold of two bracelets and an earring before he finally took a nap on the couch. "He saw the couch and just sat to down to rest for a while and fell asleep," police said in a statement. The burgle admitted to breaking into the house once he had been arrested.

Opinion - Ha. This burglar is quite humorous. Well, I guess you can't really call him a burglar since he wasn't even successful at stealing anything. :/ He would be more of a brake-and-enter.. er. Anyway I would have to assume this "burglar" was so self-assured with this accomplishment of getting his hands on some bracelets and an earring that he just decided to rest a little on the couch. I don't see how someone could take a nap like that if they weren't comfortable and so self-assured with what they were doing. It sounds like the guy might have been somewhat cocky, to me. In any case, he got caught so he sucks at being a burglar. The end. P.S. what's this about only stealing one earring? I mean, who does that, eh?

Summary - According to a cbsnews.com article, Guyana's former first lady appealed to the citizens on Wednesday. What she asked of the citizens was for a car to carry out the charitable work she has been doing. She explained how she would have to walk or ride the bus to accomplish this. In the strange news conference in which this appeal was given, the prior first lady Varshnie Jagdeo explained that cars were no longer available for her to use for her job at a children's charity. Her nearly nine-year marriage to President Bharrat Jagdeo ended in April with their separation."If there is anyone with a spare vehicle who can lend it to me for a while, I will be very grateful," the woman said in Georgetown, the capital of Guyana. Though now separated from her husband, the former first lady still lives in the presidential house, with quarters separate from that of the president's since their marriage went bad. Varshnie explained to the citizens that she now has to walk one mile from the presidential house to her office, a charity that helps sick children travel overseas for medical care.

Opinion - It's hard to tell if this lady wants to borrow the car simply because she doesn't want to walk or because Varshnie actually believes her having to walk to her office might somehow hinder her from running the charity efficiently. Whatever the case may be, I believe she should be given a car to at least borrow. Either way you look at it, the charity could still be hurting from her having to walk there. No matter what her reason, the charity will still benefit. I mean, what's the worst that could happen? Her running off with the vice-president in that car? Well.. okay, that would be a real jab to the citizens and to the president as well. But the truth is.. I'd get a real kick out of that. >.< :P
