Pockets so fat it dont make no sense, Wrist so clean i dont need no tense, Watch so bright i dont need no light (Omar)

National - U.S. protests China's port refusal. The United States has filed a formal protest with China over the decision to deny port visits to a U.S. aircraft carrier and two other ships last week, an incident a Pentagon spokesman Wednesday called "baffling." Chinese authorities canceled a scheduled Thanksgiving port call in Hong Kong for the Japan-based aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk just hours before it was supposed to dock. The cancellation was "a costly inconvenience to the families who had traveled there to spend Thanksgiving with their loved ones on board,"

Opinion - Hmm. Chinese and U.S. Military had a 'misunderstanding'. DON'T THEY ALWAYS?!! For crying out loud! Did the U.S. think they can honor a Japanese based ship in China? also the Chinese don't celebrate Thanksgiving so why should they care? It is unfortunate for the families that traveled to China to see their loved ones, but they should have had a better understanding of the situation.

International - Venezuelans protest, as vote nears. One day after demonstrators thronged the Venezuelan capital's main thoroughfare to express their opposition to Sunday's referendum on changes to the constitution, supporters of President Hugo Chavez plan to hold their own demonstrations on Friday. Tens of thousands of people filled Avenida Bolivar from early in the morning Thursday to voice fears that approval of the 69 proposed amendments would give Chavez a tighter grip on power and lead to a totalitarian state. Chavez insists the majority of Venezuela's 26 million people back him, and indeed he has garnered overwhelming support from the country's poorer neighborhoods, who have benefited from his policies -- paid for by skyrocketing oil prices. Oil accounts for roughly 90 percent of the country's export earnings, according to the CIA World Factbook.

Opinion - Just like the protests that occurred earlier this month, Presidente Hugo Chavez is the epitome of a tyrant. He is not asking for the people's opinion and just wants to save his own skin. It seems this way to me. I hope he will have a clear conscious sooner or later. Including his vicious attacks against our president, this man thinks he can pretty much do anything thanks to his vast oil stocks. Money can get you places, but this can easily change one way or another. Hopefully soon.

National - Body found in Kansas appears to be missing college student. A body found in Kansas appears to be that of a missing college student who led a secret life as an Internet porn star, police said Thursday. Authorities said the preliminary physical description of the body found about 50 miles east of El Dorado matches that of missing college student Emily Sander. Investigators refused to give details about the state of the body or how it was found.Sander's case drew wide attention after it was revealed that she appeared nude on a popular adult Web site under the name Zoey Zane. That site was temporarily inaccessible Thursday, as were several sites that bill themselves as "fan" sites of Zane. But Police Chief Tom Boren insisted Thursday that Sander's Internet activity had no connection to her disappearance.

Opinion - Pardon my French, but ****!!! This is horrible in so many ways. First off, she was a college student who was apparently abducted and murdered by someone. Secondly, she turns out to be a porn star! I really wonder how her parents feel right now. Probably they are loving parents who can forgive their murdered daughter for the private life she led. It's understandable that some parents would get angry, but I wonder if they would stay angry for a long time. if they would, it would probably be towards her murderers.

International - Musharraf promises to end State of Emergency before the elections end. Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf announced Thursday that he will end a state of emergency on December 16 ahead of upcoming elections -- a key demand by the United States and opposition leaders. Musharraf made the announcement shortly after taking an oath of office for a third time as president, a day after abandoning his position as military chief."At the moment, the dust is settling down and everything is in control," Musharraf said. "The election will take place according to constitution on the eighth of January."

Opinion - Well I dont really know much about Musharraf or his rule over Pakistan and its people, but i do know that the U.S. likes him and if they do, I guess I do too. I just hope he wont turn out like a certain someone we tried to overthrow *cough*(Hussein) *cough* excuse me. However it is noteworthy that he stepped down as military chief to become the civilian president. This could mean alot since Pakistan truly favors warfare then diplomacy. All i can say is more power to his democratic, responsible decisions.
