collins tired of thinking of creative things today try again friday

International
Pakistan's prime minister says national elections will be held as scheduled, despite President Pervez Musharraf's declaration of emergency rule. There were faers that the plans for a min-January election would be abandoned. Lately the police have been busy busting up protests and arresting lawyers and opposition activists. And of course our ever wise president is urging "democracy" by telling the president to hold elections "as soon as possible" The state of emergency was said to be declared because of militants and unruly judiciaries. Critics, however, say that he's "acting to pre-empt a judgment by the Supreme Court on whether his re-election last month was legal."
Oh man Oh man we just keep pushing democracy on other countries. It's sorta like the cold war except we're killing people so I guess it's a lukewarm war. Thats the worst yuck!! but seriously maybe we should start working out the kinks in our democracy before we start urging it upon others. Isn't there a saying that says take the plank out of your eye before you take the sliver out of your brothers? I think there is. and just a thought George if you claim your Christian when you run maybe you should stick with Christian principles until you're done. (but thats just the liberal talking)

Democracy is never a perfect thing, it's just the best anyone can have.
