1:Massachusetts lawmakers say a proposed measure that would ban parents from spanking their children, even in their own homes, is a way to protect kids from abuse. But many parents believe it's an example of government run amok.In all 50 states, parents are legally allowed to spank their children. But in 29 states it's illegal for a teacher to practice corporal punishment, including spanking.

Opinion
I think that spanking your kid when it is neccesary is allowed. But if you end up just giving your kid a spanking or hitting them for no reason than that is wrong and that should be banned. Then that is right that there should be no hitting or spanking in schools that is wrong that a teacher would have that authority. People should not ban spanking children at your home, they have things under control to were if you are beating your child you will be put away.

2:A 48-year-old man entangled in an Internet love triangle built largely on lies was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in prison for killing his rival for the affection of a woman he had never met.
Thomas Montgomery, who posed as an 18-year-old Marine in online chats, pleaded guilty in August to gunning down Brian Barrett, 22, in a parking lot at the suburban Buffalo factory where they worked. The motive was jealousy, investigators said. Both were involved online with a middle-aged West Virginia mother -- who herself was posing as an 18-year-old student.

Opinion
Well I think that men in their 40's should not be posing on the internet as a 18 year old that is wrong and they need to get a life. Then people should not be falling in love with someone that they haven't even met. I mean the lady was in the wrong to because she basically pulled both of these guys in. Then you should not get that jealous of someone over the internet. The inernet is just so much trouble and you can never trust anyone on the internet. First you can't see the person and than they can find out all this info on you and then you could in to so much trouble with what your doing.

1:Legend has it that cats always land safely on their legs -- well, not always.
Baby, a 6-year-old cat from South London, has become a celebrity pet in England after she fell twice off a three-story building. Blue Cross Hospital has dubbed her the bionic cat, because her four legs are so full of pins. "She was brought to us in September after multiple fractures in her back legs," said Powley. "We checked for other injuries. The X-ray showed that she had had previous metal implants in the front legs."

Opinion
Well a cat should not be sitting on a window especiallpy when it is open. That is just dumb in the first palce. Everbody knows that cats like to explore and jump on things. Then when she already did it once than why let her sit by the window again. I am suprised that she survived I mean that cat must be amazing and very lively.

2:A single fingerprint and a trace of blood belonging to American student Amanda Knox were found in the Perugia apartment where her British roommate was slain, but the apartment was otherwise cleaned, news reports said Wednesday.
Investigators have concluded that the blood was left on the bathroom faucet sometime between Nov. 1 and 2, the ANSA news agency reported, placing Knox in the apartment either the night her roommate died or the next morning.Knox has acknowledged she was home the night Meredith Kercher, 21, was killed by a knife wound to the neck but has denied any wrongdoing.

Opinion
Ok so if you find someone's blood on the scene and you know it's her's than that should be a clue that she was there or was around when it happened. I mean the police are pretty dumb if they don't think that she wasn't involved in it. They should at least hold her captive and keep her in the station until the investigation is over. That is just my opinion though the police are suppose to know what they are doing so whatever.
