Ex-Teacher Who Fled to Mexico With Student Plans to Plead Not Guilty to Crossing Border With Minor to Have Sex

Summary:
OMAHA, Neb. — A former Nebraska schoolteacher who fled to Mexico with a 13-year-old male student was returned Wednesday to her home state to face federal charges. Kelsey Peterson was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon in U.S. District Court in Omaha. Her lawyer said she would plead not guilty.
Opinion:
Oh wow. How terrible. If she is that desperate to have sex… I’m sure there are other ways (I wont mention them). If think it’s a total scam. The boy does not even know his own birthday or age? This is so stupid. She should have “idiot” added to the list of chargers. Her lawyer is a joke too, I think she did something wrong and should be punished for her crime. End of story.

Report: Florida Student Facing Battery Charges for Throwing Crayon at Teacher

Summary:
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 14-year-old Florida student on Thursday was facing a third-degree battery charge after throwing a crayon at his teacher, FOX affiliate WAWS reports. Taewon Little was kicked out of the A. Philip Randolph Academy in Jacksonville and arrested, but his mother said the punishment is too harsh and called her son a model student. "I felt like they really blew this out of proportion by charging my child with a misdemeanor and taking him to court," Robyn Little said. Robyn Little said she grounded her son for the act but added that he has never missed a day of school and even attends college preparatory classes on Saturdays.
The school’s principal said Taewon Little will not be allowed re-entry into the school until he completes courses in an alternate learning program.
Opinion:
So stupid… This kid needs to get slapped and punished, but not in court. It was just a crayon for goodness sake. Who cares? It goes back to classroom punishment rules. If teachers were allowed a little more disciplinary act this kid probable wouldn’t have done that.

Beer Bandit Steals 450 Kegs From Guinness Brewery in Ireland

Summary:
DUBLIN, Ireland — Ireland's police announced a manhunt Thursday for a beer bandit who drove into the Guinness brewery and left with 450 full kegs. The national police force, the Garda Siochana, said a lone man drove into the brewery — a Dublin landmark and top tourist attraction — on Wednesday and hitched his truck to a fully loaded trailer awaiting delivery to city pubs.

Opinion:
WOW… That’s a lot of beer, $235,000 worth. It’s hard to think about how someone snuck into a brewery and stole 450 kegs of beer. Wouldn’t someone notice that? Isn’t there some sort of video cameras watching the gates, or what about guards checking receipts for merchandise? It seems to me that Guinness just wasn’t prepared or secure.

Nurses' Aide Films Bathroom Sex, Extorts Thousands From Lover

Summary:
A nurses' aide used his mobile phone to film his co-worker performing a sexual act on him in a nursing home bathroom then used the video to extort money from her, a court has been told. Brisbane District Court was told today that Christopher Morgan, 34, of Mount Gravatt in Brisbane's south, demanded $10,000 from his lover so he could repay loan sharks who had threatened to break his bones. Fearing the affair would be revealed to her partner of 16 years, the 28-year-old woman paid the money. The court was told Morgan then demanded a further $2,000 to cover interest owed to the loan sharks and a six-month supply of steroid tablets. The woman, a nurse at the Algester Lodge Nursing Home in Brisbane's south, eventually went to the police. The court was told he initially denied making the threats, but later confessed and said he had committed the offence out of desperation. The court was told Morgan started making the threats in June, just one week after they began a physical relationship. Senior Judge Tony Skoien said the woman had "contributed to her own vulnerability" but Morgan had preyed on this weakness. He sentenced Morgan to three years' jail with a non-parole period of a year.

Opinion:
Well, don’t get me wrong. I feel bad that the women was blackmailed like this, but maybe it will teach her not to cheat on her husband. Holy Cow I hope she feels stupid, I think she will. I also hope that the man gets ridiculed for the rest of his life because his brilliant plan backfired on him. (I know this sounds mean). Oh well, crazy world we live in.
