Murphy James International Articles; week of nov. 9

#1 summary:
the president of Georgia (i'm not even going to try to spell his name) has moved the elections up to January 5th after a crackdown on a riot. Opposing parties feel that his time has run out, and that the reaction of the people is what finally made him crack. However, the president feels that the chair means nothing to him, and the he cares about countries. He tells his people to ask and they will receive (jesus?) and that they asked for an earlier election date and now they have one.
opinion:
hmmm. i think its cute he sounded like jesus. but i'm not entirely sure how i feel about him on a whole. i think i would need to research his presidency more before i came up with any hard conclusions, but it sounds like the people are unhappy. but in the corner of the former USSR, who can really be all that trusted? that really makes me nervous.
