Kasparov Warns of ‘Chaos’ in Russia
Garry Kasparov, the former chess champion, warned today that Russia was heading toward chaos under President Vladimir V. Putin. Mr. Kasparov said his coalition, would continue its protests against the Kremlin in order to spotlight what he described as a government that has grown increasingly repressive. Mr. Kasparov was arrested last Saturday when he and other members of his coalition tried to deliver a letter to federal election officials saying that the parliamentary election this Sunday is biased toward Mr. Putin’s party.
Opinion
I think that this is very bad that Russia is going to get crazy under this president so called Vladminir. I think that if this guy doesn't really want this guy to be president then he should get more people to support him but he needs to give more valid reasons of why he doesn't want this guy to president. I don't think that it was fair for this guy to get arrested simply because he wanted to send a letter to the federal election officials.

Mother's lawyer: Child killed for failing to say 'please'
The stepfather of a 2-year-old girl lost control and beat her to death because she wouldn't say "please" and "yes sir". Her mother, Kimberly Dawn Trenor, and stepfather, Royce Clyde Zeigler II, were arrested Saturday. Trenor, 19, told police she and her husband killed the girl in July and hid her body in a shed before dumping it in the bay. Zeigler wanted his wife to spank Riley with a belt when she failed to say things like "please" and "yes sir" or "no sir". Zeigler didn't believe Trenor was doing it because the 2-year-old's behavior wasn't changing. It is also said that Trenor is pregnat.
Opinion
I think that this is very stupid. Why would a mother want to kill her child or let her boyfriend kill her 2 year old child simply because the child would not tell her stepdad y es sir or please. The worst thing is that this woman is pregnat this woman does not deserve to have another child especially since she does not even know how to take care of her own child. This woman and her boyfriend need to be put in prison for life time.

Rodney King wounded in shooting
Rodney King, whose 1991 police beating sparked widespread rioting in Los Angeles was recovering Thursday after being wounded by gunfire. Lewis said that after King was shot Wednesday night, he rode his bicycle from San Bernardino to his home in Rialto, before calling police about 11:40 p.m. The Amateur video captured King's beating after Los Angeles police officers stopped him for speeding March 3, 1991. Police beat King repeatedly, delivering 56 baton blows and six kicks which causing skull fractures, and brain and kidney damage.
Opinion
This is a sad case this guy is being wounded for the second time. It is sad that during 1992 he was beaten 56 times with the baton and that these police were only put in jail for 30 months. I think that these police should have been put in prison for a life time. I think that it is also not fair that the charges put against these police were dropped. I think that courts should bring more justice to people especially if it has to do with racism.
