Politicians and schoolchildren were among at least 40 people killed in a suicide attack in northern Afghanistan, hospital and provincial officials say. The scene of the worst recent attack was littered with bodies and splattered with blood. The attack was condemned by the Afghan president, the White House and the UN. Analysts say suicide attacks are rare in this area, and the bombing shows the reach of the insurgency is growing. The Taleban, al-Qaeda and other militant groups are fighting thousands of Afghan and foreign troops in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan, Afganistan... wasn't that the country we were supposed to go into? Noooo I remember now! Iraq attcked us and was stock piling WMDs so we attacked them. Right? Right. Wrong! Why are we busy trying to force democracy onto a people when we could be hunting down and getting the TERORISTS? I don't know it just seems we should be out of Iraq since we have had several different absurd reasons for being there and none of them are relevant anymore. But again thats just me.
