National: She can’t get it together!!!

Summary: After loosing custody of her two kids on Oct. 1, Brittany Spears has now lost all rights of visitation of her two sons Sean and Jayden. The court released a statement of the decision this week. They still have not given reasoning behind the decision but some sources have said that she had failed to answer a cell phone given to her by the court so that the court could reach her if they needed to. Spears does not seem to be to broken up about the decision. She has been seen all over Hollywood having a good time. Many friends and family of Spears have tried to reach out but she is to far gone for the time being.

Opinion: I believe that Brittany is too far-gone. The only person that can help her now is God. I believe that no matter the reasoning behind the ruling the court had every right to do what they did. She is not suited to be a mother right now. I do believe that she has grown up in the Hollywood spotlight and that influence has gotten the best of her. She doesn’t seem to have any standard of morals in her life. She needs to focus on herself and no one else right now. Those two innocent boys are in danger when they are with her. She doesn’t know how to be a mother she needs to learn how to be one before she should be allowed to have those kids back. She needs to turn her life around and my heart goes out to her.


International: Bombing

Summary: A suicide bombing in Karachi, Pakistan has killed 124 people and injured 320 more. The bombing took place near the Pakistani leader’s house around midnight on Thursday. Many witnesses have said that they witnessed gruesome images that they cannot get out of their minds. Police believe that the suicide bomber was on foot when he did the damage the reasoning behind this is still yet to be found. But for now the Hospitals are full of injured people. The police have said though that now they will make sure they have higher security than they had before.

Opinion: I believe that nothing really could have been done to prevent this tragedy from happening. I believe that it was unexpected and no one had any idea of what was going to happen. I believe now though that Pakistan should do everything in their power to make sure that it does not happen again. My heart goes out to the people and their loved ones that were involved in this unfortunate event. I don’t know what the world is coming to but it is sad that there seems to be more violence than there is peace. The world just seems to be full of bitterness. The lord will come when it is time. We just have to trust in Him to get us through these rough times.


National: Republican Candidate

Summary: Rudy Guilliani who is in his second term of Senator of the state of New York has announced that he will be running for the republican candidate for president in 2000. This will be his first time running for president. He was born on May 28 1944. He was the Mayer of New York during the time of the attacks on the world trade center. So far out of all the republican Candidates he has the highest percentage of votes toward him than any other republican candidate so far. He has about 24% of the votes. He is even beating McCain and Thompson.

Opinion: I believe that he has done a fantastic job with all of his tasks and responsibilities so far. I believe that he would make a great president and that we would have no worries because he knows what he is doing. To what I know he seems like am awesome man and I trusts that he is the best possible candidate for the Republican Party. He will not let us down.


International: Down Under…Way Down Under (Literally)!

Summary: On Thursday some kids in Sydney, Australia found a boy’s body stuffed into a suitcase floating down duck pond. The investigators of this crime have estimated the boy’s age from a range of 4 to 8. The boy was naked and in the fetal position wrapped in plastic. They also have said that the body had appeared to be in the early stages of decomposition so they believe that the boy had to have been in the river for at least two days. Although clothes and a knife has been found in the same river, police still have yet to link them to the boy. As of right now they are still investigating the boys and his death.

Opinion: This is terrible. Such an innocent life to be treated this way is just wrong. Justice needs to be made and the people or person responsible for this death should be sent to jail for life and put on death row. Now person deserves to be treated like this boy has been treated. Such a young, innocent life...what a tragedy. I cant help but think that this boy still had so much to live for and to experience but that was taken form him. I hope that the people investigating this crime are able to find exactly what they need to. This boy deserved more that what he was given.
