National: Airport screeners failed to find most fake bombs, TSA says.

For years now there have been undercover tests at airports to determine the effectiveness of airport screening. The bad news is that the undercover testers successfully sneaked in 70% of the fake bombs they put in their luggage. The tests were conducted in every city, a total of 2500 times a day combined. There has been a slight improvement, but nothing unfluential enough to make our airports 100 percent secure. Airports say they are beginning to train people more on how to detect illegal objects.
Opinion: I have no sense of protection when I fly, because I don't trust the security they have there. The whole thing about removing all liquids from your bag is pointless, because there's no way they could find it, unless they went through your things, and that's impossible to do for every person's luggage. If a terrorist wanted to bring something on an airplane, they could find a way to do it. I don't know why they haven't yet.

National: Judge suspends Spears' visitation rights

Britney Spears used to share joint custody of her two children with Kevin Federline, but now her ex has full custody of the kids. No one knows exactly why the judge came to this descision, but we do know that she has been ordered to random drug tests and to be observed by a parenting counselor. The judge said she engaged in "habitual, frequent, and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol."
Opinion: While I think Britney Spears has serious problems, I have to sympathize with her on this one. She isn't the best mother, but she also gets way too much crap from magazines and from the news. If every mother had all their parenting habits and mistakes all over the news every night, they would find things to criticize them for too. There's no way that Kevin doesn't every take a controlled substance or get drunk. Neither of them are great parents, but Spears needs help right now because she's getting the brunt of everything.
