Alleged killer fled to french territry, prosecuters say
A man who is charged of murdering a doctor in Chicago is trying to skirt the US justice system by fleeing to the Frech island territory of St. Martin, according to the prosecuters. The murderer us trying to protect himself and is trying to make the US law and the French law a mockery. After fleeing himself to St Martin he confessed himself and turned himself in to the French authorities. The muderer cannot be sent to US for trial because he is in the french national on french soil. It is said that the French gov't would not be able to extradict the murder. However, Murray of the Cook County State's Attorney's Office said he favors extradition over a French trial because he believes French laws are more lenient. Murray said a life sentence in France is only 22 years. In Illinois, Murray said, murder is punishable by a minimum of 20 years in prison and maybe longer. Hoping to convince the French to extradite Peterson, Murray said he would not seek the death penalty in the case. There is currently a moratorium on the death penalty in Illinois.
Opinion
I don't think that authorities don't want to take this man to death penalty because of what he did. Especially simce he is fleeing form US to France. This murder knows what he is doing and that is why he is fleeing to France because he knows that he can't get away with murder here in the US and that the laws in France are more lenient. I don't think that this is fair at all. I cannot believe that he is getting away with this just because he is in France and not in the US.

15 die in Pakistan suicide blast
15 people were killed on Monday because of a suicide commited by a burqa-clad woman who blew up herself. It was believed to be the first time a female suicide bomber has struck inside the country. The bombing injured 22 people and it was done in a rickshaw that was being examined at a police checkpoint around 8:25 a.m. the investigations of the bombing concluded that the bombing was commited because of female suicide. The bombing killed four police officers and 11 other people, including the bomber.
Opinion
This is very sad first of all because it is said to be the first suicidal bombing commited by a female. This suicide just shows how desperatly this woman could have been and how unhappy her life was. This is also sad because many women in Pakistan are now commiting suicide because they don't have no hope and they see that there is nobody that can help them.

Penn State Footbal Player Charged with Rape, Assault
Austin Scott running back of Penn state college is charged for raping a woman at her on-campus apartment after meeting her at a bar. Scott declined to comment as he left the courtroom Friday. However, his lawyer states that the interaction he had with the woman involved was consensual, and they anticipate that they will be able to prove that in court.
Scott remains enrolled at Penn State. Scott was also charged with three misdemeanors: two counts of indecent assault and one count of simple assault. He was released on $50,000 unsecured bail and ordered to stay away from the alleged victim.
Opinion
Honestly I can't believe that this football player is still enrolled in the university. I think that if this football player is still kept enrolled in that university and he might destroy the university's reputation especially since he is accused of rape. Rape is very serious and I think that this guy should be suspended from that university and be put in prison for lifetime.

Report: Man Charged for Public Burning defends Right to Torch Mexican Flag
A Texas man facing charges after publicly burning a Mexican flag defended his actions, according to a report. David Bohmfalk, 46, has been charged with burning a Mexican flag without a permit after he torched a Mexican flag in front of the Alamo in San Antonio after the May 2006 immigration rallies. Bohmfalk told KENS-TV on Tuesday that he felt angry and that he felt that he had to do something to make his statement. The thing is that no one in San Antonio issues permits to burn flags.
Opinion
Well I think that he shouldn't be accused for burning a Mexican flag because he is showing that he doesn't agree with something. But we also see that here in the US people just burn flags and they don't get in trouble thats because we allow it but in Mexico thats different I think that Mexican's just have more respect towards their flag. If Mexico doesn't like people burning the Mexican flag then they should set a law about it to make things more easy because they don't have a law protecting their flag and its making things worse.

If countries would agree with our policies it would make things earlier.

Sad situation in Pakistan.

Remember, innocent until proven guilty.

Must remember that the flag is just a symbol.
