Movie Theater Bombing Kills at Least 6 People in Northern India


Summary: A bomb ripped through a packed movie theater in northern India on Sunday, killing at least six people and wounding at least 30 others. Sunday's attack occurred on one of the holiest days of the Muslim calendar, Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, and came weeks before two major Hindu festivals, Dussehra and Diwali. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

AROUND 30 PEOPLE WERE iNJURED, AND ABOUT 6 WERE KiLLED. THE MURDERER HAS NOT BEEN CAUGHT YET, AND THERE ARE NO SUSPECTS. THAT MAKES ME WONDER iF MAYBE iT WAS A SUiCiDE BOMBER...? WELL WHOEVER iT WAS i HOPE JUSTiCE iS SERVED AND THEY GET CAUGHT.





Homeless Man Torched As He Slept Outside NYC Church Dies of Injuries


Summary: A homeless man, Felix Najera, was torched outside a church where he had laid down for the night has died from his injuries, police said Saturday. Najera was burned while sleeping in a cardboard box around midnight. Najera suffered burns to 40 percent of his body. Israel Torres, 29, of the Bronx, was charged with attempted murder and assault in the Oct. 5 attack. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Oct. 8 and was held without bail.





Opinion: THE POOR GUY WAS ALREADY HOMELESS, AND PROBABLY A LiTTLE OLD. iSRAEL TORRES DiD NT HAVE THE RiGHT TO TAKE THE LiFE OF A PERSON. tHE PEOPLE THAT LiVE AROUND THE CHURCH HE WAS KiLLED iN FRONT OF SAiD THE HOMELESS GUY WAS VERY KiND AND NEVER CAUSED ANY HARM TO ANYONE iN THE NEiGHBORHOOD. SO iF THiS STATEMENT ABOUT THE HOMELESS GUY iS TRUE, THEN EHAT DiD TORRES HAVE AGAiNST HiM? WHAT MADE HiM SO ANGRY THAT HE HAD TO TAKE THE LiFE OF A POOR HOMELESS MAN? i BELiVE BEiNG CHARGED WiTH ATTEMPTED MURDER MEANS YOU TRiED, BUT YOU DiDNT COMPLETE THE TASK, BUT iN THiS CASE, HE DiD COMPLETE THE TASK...SO HiS CHARGES SHOULD BE A LiTTLE MORE HARSH.


Panthers win backup QB battle
Summary:If sports are the original reality television, the Cardinals and Panthers took the whole idea to an extreme Sunday. Injuries forced them to pluck two quarterbacks off living room couches last week, coach them up for a few days, then play them in an actual game. Neither Testaverde, nor his Cardinals counterpart, Tim Rattay, were expected to play when they signed last week. But Testaverde started because of David Carr's sore back, and Rattay entered the game midway through the first quarter when Kurt Warner suffered an elbow injury while trying to recover his fumble.

Blood test to be city DUI gauge by 2010
Summary: An increasing number of police departments are trying to make it more difficult for drunken drivers to fight their DUIs. More cities are using blood samples vs. breath samples to build DUI cases, which proponents say is the most accurate way to test a person's blood-alcohol concentration. The stakes for drunken drivers could never be higher, especially since a new DUI law went into effect last month requiring first-time offenders to use a device that requires them to provide a breath sample to start their car. By 2010, the Phoenix Police Department will accept only blood evidence.
