National:
A 14 yr. old boy in Plymouth Meeting, PA was arrested on Wednesday because of a plan to enact a 'Columbine' inspired school shooting. The boy, whose name was not released, was found out because he asked a friend to assist in the plan. Police seached his house on Wednesday and found an assault rifle, numerous air rifles and handguns, and knives and swords in his room. They also found Nazi literature and "The Anarchists Cookbook" in his room. The boy admitted to planning a shooting at Plymouth-Whitemarch High School. He is now homeschooled but many of the kids that go there bullied him in middle school. It is reported that his mother bought him the assault rifle, and his father is a convicted felon. The boy was also enlisting a so called 'army' or sorts on his web page. He guarenteed combat for those who joined. What a scary, scary thought.

Opinion:
This is quite disturbing. What type of mother buys her troubled adolescent child an assault rifle? That is negligence. This child needed serious help but he was not granted it. Instead, he almost went on a rampage at a high school. This is no way to deal with problems, but the boy probably did not know this. He just needs positive role models in his life. His parents were obviously not there for him.I am glad the authorities acted on this because a great tragedy would have ensued if they hadnt. Kudos to the cops.

National:
The always controversial author Ann Coulter is under fire again for remarks stated on 'The Big Idea' with host Donny Deutsch. She commented on how Christians were tolerent of racial diversity and how they were perfected Jews. She supposedly insinuated how the country would be better if it were purely Christian. Deutsch took these comments very seriously as he refers to himself as a practicing Jew. "Hateful and antisemitic" he said. Coulter stated that her comments were taken way out of preportion and that she is sorry for the misunderstanding. Deutsch said she got frightened and that she made a faux pas. We'll see.

Opinion:
I believe she has the Constitutional right in the 1st amendment to say how she feels. However, it might not be a wise career move to state your views so brashfully.(is that a word?) The odd thing is how Coulter HAS made a career move out of it. I suppose people should just get used to these sorts of remarks from her. The two go hand in hand. Also, I dont fully disagree with her here. Christians accept the deity of Christ and follow the Old Testament. This sounds like an improvement to me.

Very scary situation in PA, especially considering what happened in Clevland.

Yep. The Constitution gives you the right to say stupid things.
