International:
A bus carrying carrying Hindu pilgrims fell into a river on Thursday. This happened in a remote part of Northern India. It is estimated that at least 41 people died. The accident took place near a town called Vishnuprayag in the Chamoli district. The driver lost control of the bus after hitting a boulder, and fell into the waters of the Alaknanda, which is a tributary to the Genghis River. So far, the rescue workers have only recovered 41 of the bodies, but the bus was carrying 45 people. I'm sure more will be discovered later.

Opinion:
It seems as though tragedy and India go hand in hand. Even the religious leaders are succeptible to death, although they live in the best conditions. The roads are probably quite dangerous in the sector of the world. India needs to move into the modern age and build a much more civil infrastructure and country. Instead of 'The American System" they could build "The Indian System. I do pity those who do suffer in India.

International:
In addressing Columbia University, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated there are no homosexuals in Iran. Presidential media advisor Mohammad Kalhor stated Ahmadinejab was misquoted. He said the statement was a reference of ammounts. There are not as many homosexuals in Iran as there are in the United States. This phenomina is not big in Iran. Ahmadinejab's original remarks drew plenty of criticism in the West. However, Ahmadinejab is now rescinding his statements. Yet, it is still widely known that consensual homosexuality is punishable by death in the Islamic Republic.

Opinion:
Ha, Islamic Republic, seems like an oxymoron. Anyway, it is most peculiar Ahmadinejab is rescinding his statements, or maybe they were not statements at all, but in fact lies! There is no way he can back claims such as this up with proof. He was mainly trying to intimidate and rally support in the Middle East. I would not believe a word this man says, but in fact reinstate the Shah.That should still be an improvement. This leader is quite dangerous to freedom and reason, and something must be done. He has stated he will use weapons of mass destruction against Israel. Do we need a wedding invitation? This guy needs to go.
