US: 25 Iran-backed Shiite fighters die in raid
US forces killed at least 25 Shiite militia fighters north of Baghdad Friday in an operation targeting a cell accused of smuggling weapons from Iran. Iraqi officials stated that the American bombs were killing the civilians that were trying to help the injured and said that the only people armed were the locals that were trying to protect themselves against al-qaida. Three American soldiers were killed in roadside bombings on firday. An Iraqi army official said that since he was not autorized to release information, the US bombed the neihborhood which killed 7 children and 28 were wounded.
Opinion
I think that all this fighting and bombing is affecting everybody. This is affecting the children especially. Children shold not be the ones to be watching all of this and suffering the consequences that people make. I also don;t think that it is fair for iraqi people to get shot when they are trying to help other people. I feel sad that more and more Americans are dying over at Iraq.
Ex-President eyes job if wife is elected leader
Bill Clinton's wife wants him to lead the efforts to rebild the US's tarnished reputation abroad if she is elected to the White House. Clinton was asked what his public role might be if his wife were elected as president, he said that his wife told him to go out and try to restore America's standing, go out and tell people America was open for business and cooperation again. Clinton was also in Britain promoting his new book about philanthropy, "Giving." Clinton hosted his third annual Clinton Global Initiative, a forum where world leaders from the world of politics, business, entertainment and nonprofit organizations discuss climate change, poverty, health care and education.
Opinion
Well I think that its good that Hillary wants to help America and that she wants her hsband to help her. I think that it might be a little difficult for her to win the elections because she is a woman and not many people want to a woman president. It is wonderful to see that Clinton is helping his wife in everything that he can. Well if she is elected I hope God will help her so that she can guide this contry.
