National:
Hilary Clinton is loosing popularity among women, whites, and working-class voters. Needless to say, she isn't gaining with men, blacks, and the homeless. The better educated and younger voters are opting for Barack Obama, who has defeated Clinton in the last eight primaries. He has also been able to raise more money than Clinton. African Americans make up about 1/5 of the democratic voters and virtually all of them are favoring Obama. 54 percent of college-educated white men voting in Democratic primaries have supported Obama, compared with 33 percent of those without college degrees.

Well I would rather have Obama as President, Clinton would be a joke in my opinion. But I would like her to win so McCain has a chance of winning. But as it is, my prediction is Obama in the white house in November and we will no longer have a war on terror or tax cuts. McCain doesn't have a chance running against Obama. He is to old, unattractive, and liberal.

National:
Many unhappy Republicans have to come to terms with Senator McCain at the top of the ticket for November. Wednesday McCain met with House Republicans who are concerned with his moderate ideas concerning some issues and his willingness to work with democrats. "Clearly, I've had some disagreements with Senator McCain over the years, but I've got to tell you, I've watched this presidential race unfold, and I've watched John McCain be a strong advocate for the principles I believe in." Republican Ohio congressman John Boehner said. McCain can still appease upset conservatives with his choice of a Vice President. McCain has been endorsed by about 40 of the 198 House Republicans and in the Senate he is endorsed by about 20 of 49 Republicans.

In politics- Republicans and Democrats, it is impossible to have a broad appeal. McCain was not my first choice of a Republican, but he is not a bad one. Maybe his willingness to work with Democrats people are complaining about will actually get something done. Once a democratic candidate is chosen people will be able to clearly contrast the moderate conservative and the liberal and see what the best bet is. I will vote for him mostly because of his stance on the war.

International:
In Copenhagen, Denmark a plot was uncovered to kill the creator of a cartoon depicting the prophet Muhammad wearing a turban shaped like a bomb with a lit fuse. So the paper reprinted the cartoon. A right wing Dutch lawmaker is planning to air a movie condemning Islam as fascist while Muslims in the country resound with upset protest. The paper and the movie are both claiming to advocate free speech. "We are doing this to document what is at stake in this case, and to unambiguously back and support the freedom of speech that we as a newspaper will always defend", Berlingske Tidende says. Islamic law does not like to have any image of the prophet drawn or made because it could result in idolatry. Newspapers in Sweden, the Netherlands and Spain also reprinted the cartoon. Muslims say they will try to avoid repeating the riots and violence that occurred in Europe in 2006. "I'm against any violent reaction, but how can you control or expect to control the 15-20 million Muslims living in Europe? How can you prevent a Muslim youth there not to try to take revenge while his religion and Prophet are being insulted?" said Fahmi Howeidy, an Egyptian writer.

I wouldn't say it's an insult. That's what their religion is all about- killing the infidels. I understand how impossible it will be to destroy a religion that has existed since the 7th century and was founded on this sort of violence, but I do believe we can do something. I would not allow Muslims to hoard into our country; they tend to blow us up. It is impossible to say one must make exceptions for peaceful, non-extremist Muslims. Their religion is based on violence! If they are peace loving then they are not Muslim. It is completely unAmerican, but I would outlaw the religion on the basis of it being a murderous cult. Bravo, Denmark newspapers.

International:
Iran is now putting the gas that can be used to make the fissile core of nuclear warheads into centrifuges. The centrifuges were working with minute amounts of the uranium gas and Tehran has set up 1o of the machines which is to little to make the amount of uranium needed for industry or weapons. Diplomats told the Associated Press the machines appeared to be running empty and they can not say just how many centrifuges had been set up since January 20 at the facility. Iran is under U.N. Security Council sanctions for refusing to suspend uranium enrichment.

It's scary that Iran has any sort of nuclear ingredients in any amount. The United Nations will probably do nothing about it even if the situation does become more dire. This is why America needs to elect McCain! Continue the war on terror! Iran probably has more centrifuges than the diplomats guessed and the situation will become increasingly scary.
