Goodbye Romney

SUMMARY
Republican candidate Mitt Romney finally stepped down from his campaign allowing John McCain’s win to that much easier. He makes a note that even though this is a time of war and he will no longer be able to be president of the United States, he will still be rooting along side with the people to do what they can to make their voices heard. Before Finalizing his stepping-down he also got together with McCain, like Giuliani did last week to make some agreements with McCain to make sure that he would consider some of his points of improvement for our country that he made during the campaign.

OPINION
Way to go, these candidates are dropping like flies. It is a good thing we did not elect these guys for president because they probably would have just decided not to be president anymore just because things got a little tough or did not look promising. This situation tells a lot about a person’s character and that is why I admire Huckabee so much is because he is promising to be in it until the end. So what if McCain already has all the votes, I’m proud of Huckabee for being committed. Plus, this way I will be able to hear him talk more because I love his speeches!

INTERNATIONAL

Racism in Germany

SUMMARY
There was a fire in Germany’s most popular immigrant community. It has a large number of Turks in it and there is some fear that the fire may have been started as an act of racism. This concerns many of the Turks in this community and even the Turkish government. However it is the people in that suffered from the fire and their families who have the most patients with the circumstance because they do not want to accuse anyone and later find out that they were not behind.

OPINION
These people have great morals if they are able to just sit back while there own people are being killed. It is also smart of them to not jump to conclusions because they are smart enough to realize that this could only create more problems. You have to be especially careful bringing up racial issues in Germany because we all know what happened last time the Germans were upset with a racial group.

Commitment is spelled H-U-C-K-A-B-E-E

SUMMARY
Win or Loose, but hopefully win, Huckabee has committed to staying in the race for president until the end. This event goes to show what kind of guy he really is. He is genuine and cares for the people and hopes to be able to bring the voice of the people with him to the White House. He thinks that by staying in the race he will be able to provide an alternate vote for those who do not approve of McCain’s liberalism, but people on the radios feel the opposite way. They thought that the most conservative candidate was Romney and now he is gone. Although Huckabee is not or even close to winning, he is not giving up hope and that is a very admirable quality that I look for in a future president!

OPINION
I think God wants Huckabee to be the next president. Not only because he is a preacher, but because he is a strong Christian who will be not use God’s every word as a guide while governing our country but he will use it as a reference to making his decisions. Huckabee has all people best interests in mind and is against discrimination because that is a part of the Bible, but that is the beauty of it. If we have a leader with a good “leadership manual”, we have nothing to worry about because we will not only be taken care of by our president, but also by God.

Global effects of Super Tuesday

SUMMARY
No only do people go crazy about the intensity of Super Tuesday in America, but also around the world, especially those in the Middle East. Who are next president is greatly affects them because of the candidates issues on the war. Those in the Middle East are especially favoring either of the Democratic nominees because of the stance on the war. Those in the middle East do not like American troop being over in their countries because they think they can solve their problems on their own, but the truth is they just want us out so they can return things to the way they used to be.

OPINION
This issue confuses me. I wish I could take a stance about the war, but I do not feel like I have a good enough understanding about the history and concerns of both sides. My instincts want to say that war is bad and does not accomplish anything by bringing violence into the situation. On the other hand, if we are in danger if we do not take control of the Middle East will they try to destroy us and the economy? What ever happens, I just hope that God protects us and his will will be done in these times.
