Romney To Endorse McCain

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/14/romney.mccain/index.html

Thursday Romney is expected to endorse Senator John McCain and his presidential bid. Romney cited “healing” as the main reason for backing McCain, after their abusive run against each other Romney felt that the party needs to unite to one candidate. He is also going to “release” his delegates to McCain, meaning he’s going to urge his delegates to vote for Sen. McCain. If all delegates went over to McCain he would be just 78 short of gaining the nomination.

I think this is the best thing for our party right now. It’s time to accept that McCain is going to be our nominee and now we need to rally behind him if we want to win. So what if he’s not the strict, only-votes conservative that some republicans want, he’s better that the alternatives. Hopefully talk radio will pipe down a little and give our party a chance at gaining the white house again.

China says that they are not spying

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/02/14/china.spies/index.html

China’s Foreign Ministry said that they accusations that China is spying on the United States are false and remind them of the Cold War. The Ministry says that this hurts the relationship and trust that the two countries have been working on for some time. On Thursday 4 people were arrested by US officials and charged with spying. The type of spying that is accused is lending military information to men and women in Beijing.

I think I’m going to trust the US on this one, and no one is proven guilty until a trial happens, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was happening. One thing the article doesn’t make clear is who the people in Beijing are. Whether they are working for the government or not is probably some important information.
