Clinton on Obama Attack

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/14/clinton.obama/index.html

After losing three straight primaries to Barack Obama, Clinton is going on the offensive and sharpening her attacks on Obama. She is trying a tactic of picking specific issues and talking about the facts on what Obama says, and what his short record reveals about how he does politics. Clinton argued that he, on the campaign trail has stated he is against special interest, but he’s allowed special interests to effect how he sets up a bill dealing with nuclear power. She compares how Obama and her are different, saying that Obama talks and she does, Obama speaks and she has action.

I think Hillary and Obama both need to go after each other more if they want to push the swaying vote their direction. Even though it may cause division, it’s plain to see that generally they’ve ignored the opposition, which I don’t believe is fair to voters. I also wish more candidates would speak about the exact issues instead of generalizations on candidates, like Hillary said she will be arguing against Obama.

British Judge rules that pilot can get compensation.

A British Court said on Thursday that Lotfi Raissi should get compensation for being imprisoned indefinitely for questioning. Raissi is accused of being part of the plans on attacking the US during the Sept. 11 plans. He was arrested and held for questioning for an irrational amount of time, after being cleared he was set free and expected compensation, but the first court to hear his case said not. The ruling from the Court of Appeal said that he deserved money.

I would agree with the court decision. If you are held for a long time, without being really charged and in the end you don’t even get charged with anything, their should be some type of compensation. Also, the people who were in charge of the imprisonment and questioning should be looked into, because this is simply wrong.
