Romney Pulls Out

On Thursday, republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney announced he was ending his campaign for the nomination. During his speech he said “I hate to lose” but that for the sake of a united party he was going to pull. His speech was received extremely well by those listening at the Conservative Political Action Conference, and while saddened by his withdraw they cheered him for his reputation and the great race he ran. Most blame candidate Mike Huckabee for Romney’s campaign end because he took critical conservative areas that otherwise may have gone to Romney. However Romney states that everyone has a right to run and stick with it for as long as they want.

I voted for McCain because I think he is the best one for the job, but in no way am I anti-Romney. I think this guy is one extremely high-class man and I really have come to respect him for his campaign and effort. I think he appealed to many people who were looking for anyone but McCain, and in his speech I think he did an awesome job of not stating that McCain was everything we needed in a candidate, but defiantly a well qualified man for the job. I wouldn’t mind seeing a McCain, Romney ticket. (Good on war, Good on economy)

John McCain Reaches Out To Uncertain Conservatives

After Romney’s resigning, McCain spoke to the same group of people to see if he could win over conservatives. He told the group; ways he saw himself as conservative, ways he is not conservative, and ways he is different then the two liberal opponents. He was mostly well received and was only booed a lot when he brought up the issue of immigration, in which most conservatives say he favors amnesty. Before his speech several extremely conservative senators threw there support behind him.

I think this was awesome for McCain, obviously Rush isn’t going to back down right away, but it is great how he was setting up, in front of everyone (maybe even his toughest crowd) what his beliefs are. I’ve said it sense Rush and Hannity started speaking so loudly against McCain, they are in a crappy spot now, because if they go with McCain the media is going to say they are eating their words, and if they don’t go with McCain they are going to immensely harm the republican candidates chance of winning, therefore putting Clinton or Obama in office. I was happy, though, to hear today that Hannity said he would vote for McCain over either Clinton or Obama.

UK sending Islamic Preacher to US

Britians Home Office said on Thursday they were going to extradite Islamic Preacher, Abu Hamza al-Masri, back to the US. Abu is accused of setting up a terrorist training facility in Oregon. He has 14 days to appeal his extradition, if he doesn’t he will be in the US in 28 days. Abu is currently serving time in jail for promoting racial hatred and preaching that Muslims should go out and kill non-Muslims. If he is convicted in the US he will be sent back to the UK to finish serving his sentence there, and then brought back to the US to serve his sentence here.

WOOHOO! I say bring him back, and good job UK! I think it is also funny that he is facing charges all around the world, 4 different countries want this guy. The article doesn’t say what kind of sentence he could face here in the US, I’m not sure how long the current sentence for starting up a terrorist training camp in Oregon is. Hmm…

Islamic Woman Arrested For Sitting With Male Colleague

A business woman named Yara was arrested in Saudi Arabia for sitting with a businessman at a Starbucks. The business man turns out to be President Bush’s younger brother, who was in Saudi Arabia speaking at a business conference. Yara told reporters she actually talked to Bush about how she was never treated bad or discriminated for being a woman in Saudi Arabia, but then two weeks after her meeting she had a warrant out for her arrest and she was arrested. Not only was she arrested but she was strip searched, threatened, and forced to sign a false confession.

I think these people are sick, this is why I can’t see any real peace with these nations coming soon; they are way too radical. It is going to take such a long time to get them to stop with these insane beliefs and start treating all people like people. It has happened before but these people get there beliefs from their religion, and you can’t change religion. I just think they are crazy and hope the US does something.
