1.Sen. Hillary Clinton said her job is "to do the best I can" in response to recent comments by Democratic strategist James Carville that she's behind in the '08 race and must win upcoming primaries in Ohio and Texas to continue on. Carville, an unpaid consultant to Sen Clinton's campaign, previously led Bill Clinton's '91 presidential bid to White House victory.
"These two states are big states and are very reflective of our population as a country. And I'm going to do the very best I can to be successful in both of them," the New York senator told ABC New's Kate Snow this morning on Good Morning America.
OPINION: Hilary Clinton needs to just stop saying what she is going to do and just take action and do it. People keep believing in her because they think that she is going to give them what they want. Hilary just fired her campaign manager and that means she is going to try and do this on her own, but does she know how difficult it’s going to be. Hilary needs to snap out of it and start making herself look better.

2.ABC News' Sunlen Miller Reports: Sen. Barack Obama told a crowd in Waukesha, Wisconsin today that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain "traded principles for his party’s nomination."
Obama argued McCain has acted like President George W. Bush on the economy and on the Iraq war.
"George Bush may not be on the ballot this fall, but his tax cut and his economic policies are… that is a debate that I'm happy to have, because the American people know that Bush's policies have not worked for ordinary Americans," Obama said.
OPINION: Obama needs to know that he cannot act like someone else he has to be able to stand up for different things and set new standards. We don’t want an old president we want someone who can help us improve things instead of going backwards.

1.Political rivals trying to lead Kenya out of weeks of violence that left more than 1,000 people dead signed an agreement Thursday, a U.N. spokesman said. No details were released and the talks were to continue next week.
Former U.N. chief Kofi Annan, who is mediating the discussions, will release a text of the agreement Friday afternoon, said the spokesman, Nasser Ega-Musa.
OPINION: Don’t they realize that they are approaching this whole situation in the wrong aspect. They need to stop pushing at people and just need to take it slow and relax a little bit before they freak out on someone. It’s wrong and they are killing people.

2.BEIJING - China is blaming activists with "ulterior motives" for linking the Beijing Olympics to the nation's involvement in Sudan, with top officials saying they shared concerns over the humanitarian crisis in Darfur. Games organizers and the Foreign Ministry responded Thursday to Steven Spielberg rejecting a role as an artistic adviser to the Olympics. The film director withdrew on Tuesday on the grounds that China wasn't doing enough to pressure Sudan over the conflict in its western region of Darfur.
OPINION: I think that Steven Spielberg had the right to turn them down because they do not show that they can stick up for what they want. People in the television business need to know that they need a backbone when it comes to things. It’s the truth and they need to learn that.
