Valentine’s Day in Korea

Valentine's Day is a traditional day in which couples send chocolate or cards to each other to reassure their love. In the Americas, couples exchange chocolate, gifts, cards, and flower bouquets. It is also common for friends to exchange gifts since this day is widely celebrated. Nationwide stores such as Wal-Mart decorate their candy section in red with a Valentine's Day theme and big named candy companies such as M&M's offer Valentine's Day special candies and chocolate.

In Korea, Valentine's Day is known to be a day for couples to exchange chocolate or for girls to give chocolate to a guy to confess their love. So a day called "White Day" was created for March 14 to respond Valentine's Day. On White Day, males give out candy to those who gave them chocolate on Valentine's Day.

Opinion

Both two countries have Same Valentine’s Day but also have different cultural perspective on Valentine’s Day. When I was in Korea I really liked Valentine’s Day because I was able to get many gifts from my classmates.

I never gave any gift on valentine’s day because In Korea, Valentine’s day is not for the mans to give gifts. Today, it was really interesting to see many people exchange their gifts in America High School PCUS.

Universities to open law schools next year

Korea plans to introduce the U.S.-style law school system. This is aimed at meeting the rising demand for lawyers and training legal experts from varied backgrounds. The law schools will have three years of full-time study. Those who completed an undergraduate degree in any major will be allowed to apply for the schools. Law school graduates will have to pass the bar exam before practicing law. The first graduates could take the exam in 2012.

Opinion

Korea follows everything that U.S did. Can they just make system that is from their own ideas? It is really upset. Anyway, U.S has good law school system. I think this plan is going work for many Korean people who want to study Law. In Korea, so many people wanted be lawyer or Doctor and only few people actually become a doctor or lawyer. I think this law school will help many Koreans to achieve their goal.

Happy Valentine’s Day, John McCain

The GOP front-runner got a big political hug Thursday from former rival Mitt Romney, and he was urging his own delegates to support the Arizona senator John McCain. Few weeks ago, Romney and McCain was

Rival and there was tension between these two candidates. However, Thursday in Boston the two were like old friends.

Romney said that “Things can get pretty rough in a political campaign, and in the thick of the fight it’s easy to lose sight of your opponents’ finer qualities. But the truth of the matter is that in the case of Senator McCain I could never quite do that,”

Opinion

Sometimes, political drama can be really interesting. These two candidates were rival just 2weeks ago and now they are good friend.

Wow, seems like they are acting really well. Anyway, Romney is supporting McCain. This is good new for McCain because he needs conservative supporters. I do not know about where this Romney’s action leads in McCain’s campaign but I think this is good starting. I hope McCain get some trust among the republican delegates from this news.

Obama, Clinton Donating Heavily to Superdelegates’ Campaigns

Campaign committees controlled by Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton have donated at least $890,000 to the campaigns of superdelegates. Obama donated the largest amount, about $694,000, to those campaigns in the past three years, Clinton donated $195,500. Both campaigns are lobbying for support among the Democratic Party’s nearly 800 super delegates. If the candidates continue to split delegates in the primaries, super delegates could decide the nominee. It takes 2,025 delegates to win the nomination.

Opinion

Political campaign is sick. It is all about money and lobbying. Politician say donated but from my perspective of donating is different. Anyway in order to win the nomination these both candidates desperately need of super Delegates support. Super delegates, they are the one who will be free to support whomever they choose at the convention regardless of the out come of the primaries. Therefore; OBAMA AND HILLARY Need to donated a lot of money to Super Delegates.
