SUMMARY
It is not even the general election and the two top candidates, or at lest there supporters, are tearing the opponents down. A singer from the Black Eyed Peas along with a number of other celebrities put together a music-type video to support Obama in the campaign. The video became increasingly popular after it was created. It is so popular that it has already been adapted by comedians and made into an assault video for john McCain. The new version brings up the line “no we can’t” were as Obabma’s was all about “Yes we can”.

OPINION
We have real wars going on in the world right now and people are more concerned with tearing down candidates in order promote theirs. Yes, people have the right to do this in order to the constitution, but of all things to do, this is one of the dumbest. Although it is a little entertaining to see what some people come up with like “bomb bomb Iran” is humorous, I wish I had not wasted my time watching these videos.

Kosovo’s Freedom

SUMMARY
The United Nations is meeting behind closed doors to discuss Kosovo’s independence. One of the points the National Security Council has had to hear is that Serbia wants Kosovo to remain part of its own territory forever. Putan from Russia said that Kosovo declaring its independence sets a dangerous president. The US believes that Kosovo should be recognized as free, but as for some countries in Europe and Russia are highly against this idea, but the US and the UK are highly in support of Kosovo claiming their freedom.

OPINION
This is so typical of the United States and Russia. They always seem to be against each others views and opposed to freeing up countries. When I did my mock UN conference we encountered many of these same issues when trying to solve our issues because America want s to help all these countries achieve freedom, but Russia always wants things to remain the way they are. I am curious why Russia want to be s possessive of other countries even thought they do not belong to them.

Crowd Connection

SUMMARY
In order to project confidence, presidential candidates will point, give thumbs up, and solute the crowd at campaign rallies. It makes the candidates look more personable and likeable, because if you are in the audience and you see some one who is running for office and they take the time to notice and point at you, you are more likely to vote for them because you now feel a personal connection. Each candidate has a different style to there personable crowd gestures, but over all they are trying to accomplish the same goal and that is get your vote!

OPINION
Don’t pay attention to this nonsense, especially you Mr.Hjort, because I know you have been to an Obama rally and were nearly converted by his speech. It is a trap. I think I just figured out why you like him more now than you did at the beginning of the campaign. It is because you just so happened to be the lucky person in the audience that he pointed to! (Ha-ha) If this is the case I think you should go to a Huckabee rally and to be swooned by him and get his point and you will never want to listen to Obama talk about CHANGE again!

11 year old Gold Prodigy

SUMMARY
Charley Hull is from England and is an extraordinary golfer at age eleven. When she was nine she became the youngest person ever to win England’s lady amateur championship. She is a down to earth young girl who continues to practice and grow as a golfer. Her father makes sure she stays well grounded because he does not want al the hype to ruin her like it has done to Michele Wie. She has a coach and only meets with him twice a week. His style is very basic and thinks it is important not to make it to confusing especially for someone of such a young age and as she gets older she will learn more. For now she continues to practice and play with local juniors at her club.

OPINION
This girl is so lucky. I wish I would have started when I was nine or younger. I think I could be better if I had more experience. The nice thing about being good when you are little as opposed to be good when you are older is that you can have a better appeal to people and they can watch you grow up and become your fans. I have always thought it would be cool to be a prop golfer and after helping out at the FBR I wish I could experience it even more. For now I am just going to keep practicing and try to win the tournaments that I play in.
