National: Clinton wins New Mexico

In Albuquerque, New Mexico, Hillary Clinton won New Mexico's Democratic caucus Thursday following a prolonged vote-count that went on for nine days after the Feb. 5 election, the party's chairman said. Brian Colon, whoso party conducted the caucus, said Clinton had won 73,105 votes, or 48.8 percent, to Barack Obama's 71,396, or 47.6 percent. The count had been delayed because of some 17,000 provisional ballots that had been cast Feb. 5 but not immediately counted.

Opinion: Well congratulations to Hillary. Contrary to what everyone else in our class thinks, I happen to like Hillary. I do not at all feel that she is any type of monster or that she is some sort of hideous freak. All I can say is deal with it. She's running for president and all you oober conservative republicans can go kick rocks because she's putting up a real fight.

International: Two strong earthquakes hit southern Greece

In Athens, Greece, two strong earthquakes hit southern Greece on Thursday; one of them was felt as far away as Italy and Egypt. No injuries were reported. The first quake hit just after noon the Athens Geodynamic Institute said. It was felt in Cairo and in the southern Italian regions of Puglia and Calabria. The second struck about two hours later. Schools were evacuated and people fled from their homes and offices it towns of southern Greece, but nobody was hurt.

Opinion: Although no one was hurt in this quake with minor damage such as cracks in walls and plaster falling off buildings, this is still a very serious event. The people in their towns are very blessed and lucky to be safe and should thank God for keeping them safe. Sadly there is nothing we can do to prevent natural disasters, but what we can do is practice being better prepared for if it ever happens again.

National: Mitt Romney endorses John McCain

In Boston, Republican campaign dropout Mitt Romney endorsed John McCain for the party's presidential nomination and asked his national convention delegates to swing behind the likely nominee. Romney collected 280 delegates during his run through the early primaries and caucuses, enough to move McCain close to the total of 1,191 needed to clinch the nomination a full nine months before the November general election.

Opinion: O our dear and beautiful Mitt Romney has decided to endorse the extremely old and fake conservative presidential nominee John McCain. Hahaha well I could honestly care less! John McCain isn’t even a real conservative in my opinion, and apparently the rest of the republicans agree with me on this one. But whatever, the republicans can do whatever they want because this 2008 election has already pretty much been won by the democrats :) sorry to bust your bubble Hjort.

International: Woman applying for a new identity card says she's 120 years old

In Jerusalem, Mariam Amash filled in the routine form with anything but routine information. Amash, who recently applied for a new Israeli identity card, said she was born 120 years ago. If this claim is confirmed, that would make her the oldest person in the world. The Guinness Book of Records currently lists the 114-year-old Edna Parkeer of Shelbyville, Ind., as holding that title.

Opinion: Umm....WOW! 120 years old?! That is flippin crazy! I mean seriously though, what are some of these people doing that is making them live so darn long! I'm very aware that people die of diseases and what not, but my question is how come they aren't affecting these people. I'm not saying I want to live to be that old but whatever these people are doing, let me know because I definitely don't want to die young.

Wow a win, what a concept.

Scary in Greece.

We will see if Mitt brings some support to McCain.

Probably all about the gene pool.
