France says no to Smoking

Cafes, restaurants, and nightclubs in France are famous for their smoky romantic atmosphere. It is hard to imagine, but this year everyone is breathing fresh air at such places. As of January 2, smoking has been banned in all commercial entertainment venues in the country.
Not everyone is happy about the smoking ban. People, including some small bar and café owners, believe the rule is unfair. They argue that large wealthy businesses can still allow smoking because they have out door smoking areas and special indoor smoking rooms that are expensive. Other believes it will damage French culture, because smoking at a café with a cup of coffee is par of many people’s daily routines. But still many of the French are pleased with the rule. They say they enjoy going out in public without all of their clothes smelling like second-hand smoke by the end of the day.

Opinion
First of all, I hate smoking. I worked in restaurant and almost everyone smoke freely and I got sick for long time. Studies have shown that the Second hand Smoke is worse that first hand smoke. If your right is important as other ! PlZ do not smoke in front of non smoking people. You go ahead and get cancer and I will enjoy my long healthy life!

South Korean worry about Gloomy Economic outlook for 2008

South Korea’s economy grew more than expected last year, with exports and investments making a strong showing. But despite the good news, the 2008 outlook for the world’s 12th biggest economy remains gloomy, as many experts fear that troubles in the U.S economy will affect a domestic slow down.
South Korea is affected in particular by the economies of U.S, China, and Japan, which are South Korea’s main importers.

Opinion
Whatever~ I do care about my country but Korea has tendency to depend on U.S too much. If U.S economy is going down also Korea economy is going down too.
Economically speaking, Korea has very significant relationship with U.S when it comes to trade, and many other things so that now it becomes direct relationship that when U.S Economy is unstable Korea Stock market also unstable. I think we need to find our ways to survive without U.S help.

New York Times in Crosshairs for report on MCCAIN and Female Lobbyist
New York times published about McCain’s unethical action be half one Female lobbyist that McCain had a romantic relationship with a female lobbyist and did favors for her clients from his position as chair man of the Senate Commerce Committees. Not McCain is really up set with New York Times he said, “I’m very disappointed in The New York Times piece. It’s not true!
Opinion
In Korea, it is not different from America when it comes to rumor and hurting emotionally by media. I think this primary has a lot of rumor and especially for McCain; The New York Times hurts the image of McCain. I do not know where they get this kind of rumor and published. I have no Idea. But it is true that No matter McCain is innocent of this victim or not he is going to lose trust by this stupid press Because Image is really important for politicians.

Cindy McCain stands tall as Husband rejects infidelity Rumors

Cindy McCain did not hesitate as she stepped toward the microphone, taking her place in the history of political wives who stood by their men in the face of rumored.“ Well, obviously, I’m disappointed,” she said, her voice low but clear and self-assured. “More importantly, my children and I not only trust my husband, but know that he would never do anything to not only disappoint our family, but disappoint the people of America. He’s a man of great character.” And Cindy stands firm and strong for her husband.
Opinion
If I were her, probably instead going to the microphone I will file suit to the New York Times. Anyway, I think she was really upset and emotionally hurt by the press. However, it is good to see that she stands up for her husband and saying “He would never do anything to not only disappoint our family but disappoint the people of America” this statement shows her character that she really respects her husband and supporting her husband.
