YouTube launches localized services in Korea
YouTube, the world's biggest video sharing website, announced on Jan. 23 that it has launched *localized services in Korea, saying the nation is a very interesting market. Sakina Ariswala, head of YouTube's international operations, said that through YouTube (www.youtube.co.kr) Korean users will be able to view not only user-created content (UCC) at the website but also other UCCs popular in Korea. Launched two years ago, YouTube emerged fast as the world's largest UCC website where users can *upload video clips they created on their own. In 2006, Google, the world's No. 1 web search company, took over the company.

Opinion
I think YouTube made the right decision regards to localized services in Korea. Many Korean uses Internet very often and also, Korea have the strongest Internet system among the Asia countries. I am pretty sure many Korean will enjoy through the Youtube. I really think Youtube made the right investment.

Korea may send peacekeeping force to Darfur

Korea may consider sending troops to Darfur to support U.N. According to recent news reports, relevant ministries will likely discuss a plan in February or March to send troops to Darfur. The news came after U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, a former Korean foreign minister, asked the incoming government to expand the nation's role in the international community. Korea is the world's 10th largest *donor to the U.N., but its troop *contribution ranks 36th, according to the latest data. Korea has a force of about 400 peacekeeping troops *dispatched abroad, including 350 in Lebanon. Ban reportedly called for Seoul to provide helicopters and transport aircraft, along with a unit of soldiers.
Darfur has been a region of conflict between pro-government militia groups and rebels demanding greater autonomy for the area. The fighting has left hundreds of thousands of people dead and millions homeless since 2003.

Opinion

I hate to say this but, Korean are coward. They do not want to send any troops to any conflict regions. Personally, this year, I am going back to my country for to serve military duty. In Korea, every man has to sever military for least 2years and I think we have really good military system that can defend our nation. Although; our government is just wasting our skills and effort for nothing. I think this is the time to realize that our military can use for greater good for the world rather than worrying about stupid North Korea.

McCain seeks lock down conservative supports after Romney exists

John McCain immediately began locking down the support of his party’s conservative base Thursday after Mitt Romney dropped out of the Republican presidential primary race with an appeal to conservatives to let bygones be bygones and to help McCain defeat the Democratic nominee in November.
With a lead in the delegate count, McCain is unquestionably the leader for the GOP nomination but is eager to mute the scathing criticism he’s faced from the far right wing of the party for being too moderate, and convince staunch conservatives to not just resign themselves to his nomination, but embrace it.

Opinion
Unquestionably, McCain is the GOP nomination but I think he is far from conservative republican. He may lead in the delegate count but when the election of November comes he needs to embrace the conservative voters. It will be really hard for McCain is to convince staunch conservative; but, this is one of the biggest homework that he has to go through.

Clinton the fashion plate: White house hopeful makes fun of past outfits

She might not pull any punches on the campaign trail,
but when it comes to fashion even Hillary Clinton can admit she’s made a few blunders.
The Democrat pokes fun of her past looks in the latest issue of Us Weekly, where she rates eight ensembles, including her puffy sleeved wedding dress. “They got the idea for the ‘Seinfeld’ puffy shirt from me,” she said. Clinton tells the magazine she blames the striped pants she wore at Wellesley College on the 1960s and an ill-chosen athletic dress as the reason “why I stick with pantsuits.”

Opinion
HAHA did you see the picture of her? I saw it and it was really ridiculous dress that she wore. She looks a lot younger now than 1993 when she wears puppy pants with puppy tank top. I’m sure Bill Clinton was not happy with his wife’s outfit and as result he end up lose interests in her.
Let me tell you that Clinton looks way better with today’s outfit.
