Ben Thieroff Part 2

NATIONAL #1

Summary-- There was and aux. poliece officer killed on Wednesday night at a gun show. There was a minigun mounted on a Humvee that discharged the fatal round. The minigun had been fired earlier that day and was sitting idle when it fired. There was a jam that was being fixed and the gun fired one bullet that hit officer Kurty in the head killing him. A military expert was supposed to come disarm the weapon today.

Opinion-- This could be a hay day for anti gun activists. An ex-military weapon randomly fires in public and kills an innocent bystander. This was purely and accident. I think that this is just an inherant risk of handling firearms. Hopefully this won't be used as ammunition for those attempting to take away our right to bear arms.

NATIONAL #2

Summary-- Two students at Fremont Junior High School are facing charges after bringing a gun to school. The boys said that they found the firearm while riding thier bikes to school. They removed all ammunition from it before taking it with them. One boy asked a friend to hold it for him so he wouldnt get into trouble. He kept the bullets and clip. The girl got scared and told a teacher who called police. The two boys face charges of misconduct with a firearm and possesion of a gun on school property.

Opinion-- These boys found a gun on their way to school. What would've you done if you were a 13 year old boy who just found a gun? Yes maybe he should've turned the gun into the admin. but he'd be in trouble for sure. At least he tried to keep it safe by seperating the weapon and the ammunition. He gave the gun to a girl. Girls dont do stupid things with guns like boys do. Good move there. I think that this kid was just trying to do the right thing.
