Summary:

There was a terrible occurrence in Santiago, Chile this past week. It was a devastating event with the unfortunate losses of many innocent lives. It was the night of the anniversary of a 1973 military group. One police officer was killed and around 51 other people were seriously injured. The government reported 216 people arrested. It was a group of masked youth who imposed this attack. They were protestors; the subject still remains in question of what they were protesting. A police officer was shot in the head and killed, along with many other wounded officers and an authority with a burned face from acid. These are criminals and vandals with a cold heart and an angry perspective.

Opinion:

In my opinion these kids are vandals and criminals and what they did was absolutely horrible. We still do not know the reason for the protest and the dramatic scene, but we do know lives were taken and people were hurt and that is not okay. I hope every one of the arrested victims are tried and found guilty. I want them to seek and endure the consequences that they deserve and nothing short of it.

National:

Summary:

A 6-year-old girl was found hanged in Texas. Hannah Mack’s body was found hanged in her garage on Monday. She was discovered by her own devastated mother. The poor girl was sexually abused before she was killed. They know that there was abuse involved and nothing further. So far there has been silence and no names of suspects have been revealed. The neighbors to the poor family gathered around and made donations and have moments in silence for this sweet innocent girl and her devastated family. They neighbors are frustrated by the silence of the police and are worried about the killer still on the lose.

Opinion:

This is such a hard thing to read about. It is one of the more touchy subjects. This poor little innocent girl was sexually abused and hanged in her own garage by some outrageous monster of a person. My heart goes out to the family of Hannah. This is an incredible hardship and I cant even imagine what this family is going through. I hope that by the grace of God they find Him in this tragedy. God is in control and as devastating as it is to lose a daughter I hope and pray God watches over this family and take them as His own, if they aren’t already so.

International:

Summary:

There is still a possibility of the tsunami in Indonesia. There is a continuous fear that one is going to hit. The people over there have been given instructions on what they are to do, but it is easier said than done. Because the tsunami has not actually hit people begin to get impatient and wonder how much longer do they have to wait in fear for this. Homes have already been destroyed and lives have been threatened. They have to wonder if this is really going to hit. It creates a massive issue with the people because now their entire lives are on hold and there are many that can not bear to do that, especially with the uncertainty of the tsunami.

Opinion:

Tsunamis are scary things and it is hard to just wait around and see what is going to happen. But at the same time you have to recognize that this fear has a purpose and there is a danger involved. It is a scary ordeal and without the right resources and confidentiality it causes panic and disturbance. I just pray that God protects them and gives the authorities the right direction on what to do with the people of Indonesia as they are undergoing this hardship.

National:

Summary:

In South Carolina they have come up with a new system of slowing people down. Instead of alive real police officers they have come up with cardboard ones. They have started to make actual cutouts of police authorities holding a radar gun to slow people down. So far this method has been working. They weren’t trying to do it to be funny they were doing it to slow people down. The fatality rate in Vehicles has already this year only being September passed last years. It is going to continue to sky rocket unless something is done about it. Sure it is humorous, but so far it has had a positive effect and seems to be in progress of being a huge success.

Opinion:

This is something that you don’t read about everyday which is nice. I like to see that the authorities have come up with something creative and switched it up a bit. I like the experimentation that they are withholding. It is a definite long shot, but I am very pleased to see that it has been working so far. Who would think that a cardboard man would do anything, but it has. It has deceived people but for the better of the people and of themselves. I believe do whatever is necessary to slow people down.
