Ryan Evans(Sucka!!)

National:
On Thursday in Huntsville, Texas inmate Clifford Kimmel was executed for his part in a triple homicide, in which two of the victims were injected with cleaning fluid before being stabbed. Kimmel pleaded guilty to capital murder before trial and was condemned for the killings of two topless dancers, and their friend. Him and his accomplice, Derek Murphy, were accused of using a syringe to inject bathroom cleaner into their victims before fatally stabbing them with a Bowie knife. The men were caught six weeks later after authorities traced items purchused with the victims credit cards back to Murphy and Kimmel. Murphy was givin life in prison, whereas Kimmel received the death penalty. Kimmel was pronounced dead at 6:18 pm CT.

Opinion:
This is an utterly absurd act of violence. It is quite disgusting. What would posess any person to act or do something that hanus? It is very disturbing to see the intentions and actions of certain depraved human beings. This man obviously deserved the death penalty. He has lost all traces of human decency and composure. Plus, why waste tax dollars on keeping a waste of human life alive? People do not pay for that. It is terrible, but true, to say that the death penalty gets results. If you cannot be civilized, why be treated civilized?

National:
In Tampa, Florida, Shayla Muldrow was sentenced to a year in jail for forcing her ten year old daughter to fight. Security cameras showed Muldrow climbing on a school bus, holding her daughter's backpack, telling her to 'take care of it', and watched the girls fight. This was response to a girl who allegedly slapped her daughter two days before. Muldrow was convicted on Tuesday for the contribution to the delinquincy of a minor and trespassing. The judge struggled with this decision because Muldrow is a single mother of three. The prosecutors asked for two years because Muldrow has had prior convictions. Her defense attorney asked simply for probation.

Opinion:
Clap, clap clap! That is some excellent parenting. It is so heartwarming to see such positive and mature examples for our young ones to follow. E-gad! All of her children should be taken from her. A girl like that could not possibly be a good mother. She is most likely to create drains on society. Plus, she is only twenty-six years old! How lovely, a single, 26 yr old mother of three. She is an endangerment to children everyone. It is really mature to use your daughter to fight a ten year old. Haha, how old is she again?

International:
This just in! China has now appointed a well regarded cleric,by the Vatican, as bishop of Beijing. Apparently, this should ease tensions between the Vatican and China, as this has been a major sticking point between the two for the past half century. Joseph Li Shan was appointed bishop in a ceremony which was attended by hundreds of priests, nuns, and ordinary Chinese Catholics.
Both sides have been seeking a compromise for the past few years, and this is apparently it.

Opinion:
Well, okay.Communism anyone? This seems a bit odd. Do they not hunt down any other religious sects, or anyone who has a differing opinion with that of the government's?They eradicate any social, or political threat to the government, but they care what the Vatican thinks? Since when has China been loyal to the Papacy? Anyway in my opinion, this seems soley based on image. Again, it all sounds a bit ridiculous. I mean the People's Republic need only ask themselves one question, "What would Mao do?"

International:
Torrential rains and thunderstorms have killed around sixty-three people in southern India. Dozens of villages are flooded as well. Nineteen people were killed by lightning, and the others died from buildings collapsing or drowned. About 50 villages are under water, and the authorities have evacuated 20,000 people to safety camps. The rains in India normally hit from July to September; this year the rains have been especially deadly as 2,200 people have died, mostly in northern India.

Opinion:
These storms are quite devasting. It seems to be the plague of south Asia and the Pacific. It is also especially terrible how it they are ocurring in India. As if the circumstances of that country could get any worse. I truly feel for those poor, poor people. The Indian government needs to step up and usher in the twenty first, or at least twentieth, century into that country. However, the Hindu nation would not seem to have it.

Who knows why some people act this way.

Like I always say, you don't need a license to be a parent.

Flooding in India is always a problem.
