COLLIN

International
Hundreds of Buddhist monks have marched around Burma's most revered temple, in a third day of a protest against the military government. The monks have been allowed into the sacred temple, the Shwedagon Pagoda, for the first time since the protest began. They went through the city with a chain of citizens protecting them. The monks were followed by police with video cameras. They want a government apology for the violent break up of an earlier rally over rising prices. Once they got into the temple they held prayers and then marched back to their temple. Onlookers were clapping and smiling. The monks' protests are one of the most serious challenges yet faced by Burma's military rulers. Monks are highly respected figures in Burmese society.
I think that is really really cool. It is the perfect example of nonviolent protest. They are like hundreds of Asian Martin Luther Kings. I really wish we had monks in the USA that protested like that. I think we could get alot of things changed around here.

Police accused Tye Hilmo, 21, of hunting and trapping his neighbor's cats, and then letting his pit bull kill the captured animals. He was charged with agrivated assult of animals. The penalty for this is one to five years in prison and a fine of up to 15,000 dollars. Police say that one of the pieces of evidence against him is a picture on his phone of a kitten dangled over his pit bull with the caption "good dog". He is being held in jail without bond.
That is SICK. What kind of people like to kill inocent animals? Maybe his hero is Micheal Vick. Poor cats and poor dog they are probably going to have to put it down. This is sure one sick puppy. (pun intended)
