Ben Thieroff

INTERNATIONAL #1

Summary-- The United States captured an Irainian commando today in Iraq. The soldier was from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps- Quds Force. This elite group has been in Iraq for quite some time. They have been training insurgents an militants in the Kurdistan reigion. These commandos are also responsible for bringing roadside bombs itno Iraq from Iran.

Opinion-- Wow, who knew that the Iraianians would ever be helping out the Iraqi sinurgents? Duh the bombs have to come form somewhere, and quite a few have come from Iran. These commandos are specially trained and are doing the same thing for the insurgents as the coalition is doing for the Iraqi poliece.

INTERNATIONAL #2

Summary-- Five welders were killed today when an oxygen bottle was ignited. These welders were from the Curacao Drydock Company. They were torching on an oceanographic ship to retrieve a motor from inside. There was obviously and open or leaking oxygen bottle somewhere near the cutting site.

Opinion-- Liquid oxygen is extremely volitatle under certian conditions. This bottle was leaking or open and a spark or flame got into the vapor. The oxygen is pressurized in a cylinder and exploded much like a bomb would. I am a welder myself and i know that you always keep oxygen and acetylene bottles far away from the cutting site. These guys were professionals and they still made a mistake, and they paid for it, not with their jobs, but with their life.

NATIONAL #1

Summary-- There was an Amish buggy that was hit in Iowa today. Out of the six passengers one was killed. the other five were all ejected and injured to some extent. The buggy was hit by a pickup truck driven by a sixty year old man. Charges are pending aginst the uninjured truck driver.

Opinion-- SEATBELTS IN BUGGYS! This will be some ridiclous thing that might happen. Anyone with half a brain knows that a horse and buggy arent too fast. This old man hit a buggy. Honstly is it really all that hard to just slow down and wait? There were obviously other buggys on the streets, it being an Amish town. This is just stupid on the truckl drivers part.

NATIONAL #2

Summary-- A Ft. Lauderdale man put out a statewide amber alert after he was carjacked. This amber alert proved to be false. The man,. Falcon fabricated this story to put urgency on the hunt for his vechile. The poliece have apprehended Falcon, and he is being charged with filing a false poliece report and interfreing with a poliece investigation

Opinion-- IDIOT! How hard is it to just report your car as solen? This guy has sent law enforcement on a wild goose chase when there very well could've been a real amber alert. If he wanted his car back so bad why couldnt he have just gotten lojack? I hate sutpid people like this who want the police to cater to their every needs.
