COLLIN VANDERWERF

International 1:
On Wednesday the 21 South Koreans kidnapped by Taliban in Afghanistan said that they were forced to converted to Islam. They were taken July Nineteenth. There were origianally 23, two men were killed during the standoff, and then two women were released in the middle of August. They are currently in the south of Seoul getting medical attention. In a news conference one of the hostages said, "They kicked us and beat us with guns and tree branches. Sometimes, they aimed their bayonet-topped rifles at our necks".
Why do bad things always happen to good people? These people were in Afghanistan for the sole reason of humanitarian aid. That is so, so sad. The Taliban kidnapped people that were trying to help their country. I can even imagine what it would be like to be taken away and held captive for nearly two months in a cave. This raises the question "why were we in the middle east to begin with?" Oh, I remember now it was because we were attacked by the Taliban, not the Iraqis! "And now why are the vast majority of our troops in Iraq???" You got me there.

National 1:
A police officer was killed when a machine gun miss fired at a private gun show. Police said a Gatling mini-gun attached to a Humvee fired a few thousand rounds earlier in the evening before it discharged and released a fatal shot to the Officers head. The gun apparently was jammed and when they were trying to clear the jam it released the fatal shot. Officials said Kurty was proficient in all types of firearms and conducted training for many local police departments.
That is ironic, but not the funny kind of ironic. It was said in the Bible those who live buy the sword die by the sword. I guess it goes for those who live by the gun too. Man I wish there was more happy news to blog on, all this death and disaster is really bringing me down. :,(

Islam is after conversion no matter what it takes.

Sad story at the gun show, but a little irony.
