National: Helicopter crash kills three.

On Wednesday an army helicopter struck a power line in the fog and crashed in northeast Alabama. The chopper was based at Fort Campbell Kentucky at a military base. It crashed into a field near a house about 6:15 p.m. Debris was scattered around the area and some of the wreckage was burned. There was fog in the area, and it was too thick for a helicopter ambulance to get to the crash sight. Three people were killed in the accident, however the military is yet to release the names of the victims or the type of the helicopter involved.

Opinion: All accidents are tragic and this one is no different. I think that it was very silly for the pilots to go in that area where all of the fog was. I feel that the names of the victims should have already been released so that the family and friends have a chance to grieve the death. It seems like there have been a lot of air related accidents lately and it needs to stop as soon as possible

International: Japanese PM is hospitalized after resignation

Mr. Abe, Japan's Prime Minister was hospitalized due to extreme stress and exhaustion. Abe had been facing growing calls to quit since his party lost the Upper House elections in July. According to opinion polls he was increasingly unpopular. It is speculated that the health problems were partly behind his decision to step down. The ruling Liberal Democratic Party is planning to meet the following week to chose a new party leader. The new leader will automatically become Japan's new prime minister.

Opinion: Its a shame that the Prime Minister of Japan had to resign due to the stress that he was under. Stress is the main cause to a lot of problems within people today. However, Japan might benefit from the change in leadership. But, there is always a chance that it could backfire on the people.

International: Pakistan attempts to blow up Buddha statue

According to officials, Islamic militants tried to blow up an ancient statue of Buddha. The attempt to destroy the monument occurred in the small village of Jehanabad in North West Frontier Province. Reportedly a group of armed men arrived in the village late Monday, proclaiming how they were Islamic fighters. Residents say that the men threatened to blow up the statue. Luckily the statue remained undamaged, but some of the rock surrounding it was blown away.

Opinion: I hate terrorism! I truly wish that the people of the Islamic religion didn't hate every other religion so much. I understand that people want to fight for their religion, but it's not like anyone is threatening the people of Islam just because of what they believe. We just send missionaries over there to spread Christ to them. My conclusion is that everyone should be more Christ like.
